I've been out already Yogi, scraping away 2 new molehills and walloping the ground.  I know I can't win but I am hoping that he will go off and play somewhere else.  The annoying thing is the bit he has chosen is right outside my window   There are lawns here surrounding the house and two other lawned areas, I could tolerate molehills there and he has to pick on this bit   I know from speaking to others that it is a lost battle but I am fighting back for the moment.  Its an absolutely idyllic morning here, how about where you are?

Morning everyone  Feeling better today, thanks. I had far too much to eat yesterday. A cooked breakfast, then a roast lamb dinner and too much chocolate. Not eating much today...water and a cuppa soup will do me.
Hope you get the mole situation sorted soon squiggle, how annoying, to say the least!
Weather a bit chilly here, and cloudy

Thanks for the curry tip, I've got some lamb left over.

I hate to tell you, but my 22 year old's bedroom is still a tip.

Bye for now, Skylark - don't work too hard.

Greetings everyone

I've taken my brother to the railway station to return to London. It's been the first time he's stayed in my house when he's visited as previously he stayed at our parents' house, partially to show there were people staying there and partially to do some sorting out. He'll come down again at the end of May when it's the Whitsun bank holiday.

We didn't go anywhere other than shopping on Saturday and church on Sunday, but enjoyed each other's company and played some computer adventure games. I took him shopping so he could have a say in what we had to eat, but he's not particularly decisive, and I landed up by deciding everything . We went to M&S and most of what we got didn't involve a lot of preparation or time, but we enjoyed what I had chosen.

At church, when our curate asked were we having something special for lunch, I replied saying "Yes, we are having ptarmigan filled with zebra stuffing - it's striped" .

Watch out Heston Blumenthal, I can go one better

I taped the Alice in Wonderland ballet on BBC2, and we saw that on Saturday evening. Neither of us are interested in ballet as such, but it was quite fascinating to watch, and is worth catching.

Good morning everyone

It's a cloudy start today and seems to be cooler.

Back to work mode today. You may recall my client who died at the end of last year and had her funeral procession lead by a New Orleans jazz band. This morning I will be going to her solcitors to start her final tax return. They want me to sift through their files to dig out the information I will need. It is likely to be quite messy as she had 16 bank accounts earning interest and I will need to identify what interest has been received on each account. In the past, it was difficult but at least I was able to ask the client. That could be a little bit difficult to do this time.

Good morning everyone. That sounds quite a difficult task EL, good luck with that. I hope you are feeling good Joyron and Yogi. Hi to Ros too.

Ooh that injury sounds nasty Skylark for your daughter's boyfriend, ankles always sound so difficult to fix when they are broken. Are you down to work on Friday or will you be able to watch the wedding?

I have been watching those programmes on Royal Weddings. I had no idea the Queen's wedding dress was so elaborate, full of symbols, beautiful though. It made me laugh they wouldn't use Italian silkworms because they were enemy worms (coming right after the war). Speak to you all later.

Good morning everyone. Lovely blue sky and the sun is shining up here.

Skylark, I hope your daughter's boyfriend is okay and his ankle heals quickly.

I certainly do remember the funeral you mentioned, El. I hope you get things sorted out more quickly and easily than you anticipate.

Squiggle, I love the idea of "enemy worms".

Joyron, thinking of you and sending my love.

The British countryside and scenery are second to none, IMO.

I was disappointed it didn't quite show the beauty of the original, I have tried here to link to the source, see if that's better.  Many parts of the world are very beautiful but the ones in these Isles seem best of all to me, as I said I am biased.

PS  The picture is so gorgeous I have set it as my wallpaper on my laptop

I love bluebells!!!!!! <3 that's a great photo! Afternoon all just on my lunch break, I'll be relieved when the kids go back to school now! Ooh Ouchie broken ankle's can take ages to heal, I hope he recovers well- how did he do it? My former yoga teacher broke her ankle just stepping off a chair, she'd had it tucked under her other leg (we all do it..) and just stood up at the wrong angle! 6 weeks off work because of it for yogi & joyron hope you're both doing ok
~Sparkling Summer~

I spent most of the morning at the solcitors going through the papers and files. I have been able to get most of the information I need and have left the solicitor with a short list of items where I still need information.

I also told the solicitor about that meeting I had a couple of weeks ago with the deceased's son when he and his mentor tried to get me to join a scheme. I thought I better mention it as the son, who is the executor, may try to sell the scheme to the solicitor. The solicitor has as much misgivings about the son's financial competence as I do, but there is very little we can do about it.

Good afternoon everyone.    Lovely and sunny here now, after a cloudy start.

Hope you all had a good Easter weekend.  We had great fun with the grandchildren but boy are they tiring after a while!!  Sounds as though your weekend went well El Loro.  Sorry to hear about your daughter's boyyfriend's broken ankle Skylark.  Not a lot of fun.

What a wonderful picture Squiggle.  After daffodils bluebells are my favourite flower.  We have loads in bloom in the woods near us but I have not been able to walk through those woods this year.  Perhaps I will be there next year, walking without pain.

I'm continuing to make slow progress but I still get tired easily and need a rest with my leg up and supported.

Will catch up with you all when I can.  Love you all.

Yes, your second posting does show up and I can see that the bluebells are more distinct in that one compared to the first. My attachment was taken from your second posting, so shows the same image as you would have originally seen.

El Loro

Thanks for confirming that EL. I don't know why quite so much detail was lost when I uploaded to Photobucket.  I am glad the second listing shows it quite clearly.

Joyron I am pleased to hear you making progress, you will still tire easily as it is still early days but how lovely to hear you looking forward to walking through the bluebell woods without pain, that's what will keep you pushing on

We have been so spoilt with the lovely spring weather, I do hope that the rain will hold off until after the Royal couple have had their big day.

As we are on a new page I am posting the pic again for us all to enjoy
