I wonder what the alpacas think of it:

A herd of alpacas have been given hilarious hairdos - including one styled to look like a poodle and another like a DINOSAUR. Helen Kendall Smith, 53, cut ten of the 30-strong flock's locks to celebrate her tenth year of breeding the animals. The mum-of-three, of Cirencester, Glos., sketched some whacky designs before professional shearers turned her ideas into reality using clippers. One of the alpacas was fashioned to look like a poodle, another was given a stripey coat like a zebra and three were given fluffy lion-style manes.

*night owls* oh my worrrrrrrd! Those alpacas are amazing thanks for the share El

I hope you've all had a good day, I've been very busy, but had a gorgeous short evening walk in an area that's new to me. Then I had the longest bath possibly ever, ok not really but it was lengthy, and I just finished preparing bolognese for the slow cooker. My house will smell amazing tomorrow morning

leaving goodnight hugs for all I hope you all sleep well

Last match of the season today for Cheltenham Town in League 2. The final day of League 2 season (other than play offs) this year is rather unusual - Any one of 3 teams can be champions, the final relegation place is between 2 teams (not that unusual), and any 2 of 7 clubs can clinch the remaining undecided teams for the paly offs. So that's 12 teams out of 24 who have everything to play for today. Cheltenham isn't one of those teams but they are away to one of the teams fighting to be champions so they will be relieved to have won last week.

I've had two lots of post this morning. I think one of them was things which I should have received on Tuesday (possibly Wednesday) as there were items which I should have received then.

I bought a new(ish) cake from M&S to try. You are welcome to try some though I know not all of you like passion fruit.

(that's the closest image I could find)

Rather nice that El, fankoo

Moonie

Would you believe it?

My  centeral heating is playing up now

It doesn't reach any kind of warmth no matter how long it is on for. I have tried altering the thermostat but that makes no difference. I have the gas fire but its very cold here and the rest of the house needs warmth too

The council are gonna get a roasting from me on Monday

Moonie

@Moonie , if the boiler is firing and no heat is getting round the house, it could be that some air has got in. If you've got radiators and a radiator key you could try bleeding a radiator to see if it's water or air coming out. If it's air, that's what's causing it and once the air has got out of the radiator, the heating can get around. You may need to try more than one radiator and you'll need something for the water to drop into rather than just over the wall and floor. You only need to turn the key, say a quarter turn, to see what comes out. And if it's air, it's likely to be a bit smelly.

Good morning everyone

Cloudy at present but is likely to becone sunny for quite a lot of the day.

Ros, I thought you would like that piece of choral music. The music to that video game has won awards which isn't surprising though I don't know if the rest of the soundtrack is similar. It's just over an hour long.

Yogi, I have recorded Hinterland but haven't seen it yet. The previous series have been good though not exactly cheerful.

I hope Moonie's central heating is working now.

I hope everyone has a good day

Good morning everyone.

The sun is shining.

El, I agree Hinterland isn't exactly cheery but it is good. The scenery is beautiful too.

Moonie, have you got your heating working yet?

Hubby has suggested a trip to the seaside but, knowing him, he might change his mind before I'm showered and dressed.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning everyone, sunny here, chilly at the moment but I think it will heat up later.

Moonie I hope your heating is working now, it's been one thing after another hasn't it?  Yogi where is your nearest seaside?  When we used to live in Essex/Greater London it was a real pain trying to reach the seaside whereas living down here the children take it as perfectly normal to have the sea on their doorstep, almost literally and with one of the best beaches in the country a 25 minute drive away.

Enjoy your day everyone

Hi El

Fankoo. I tries your solution but only water came out. I did try several rads but no luck. Thanks for your suggestion anyway. Much appreciated

The hot water for washing up comes from the same boiler and it is boiling hot. So my guess is the thermostat is playing up. It is the original one from when he council modernised some 30 years ago

Though the boiler is probably less than 10 years old

Another job for the council to sort out

Moonie

Good afternoon Buddies

Fankoo one and all. The central heating does work but just about warm enough to heat the rads, no matter how high the thermostat is increased.

*adds to council's, list of to do's*

Lovely warm sunny day here, at last. Hardly a breeze

What washing I had is on the line

Have a lovely day everyone

Good afternoon grey & colder here today, I miss the sun!

Oh no Moonie, that's soooo annoying! Is it connected to do with the work that's just been carried out?

There's a buzz about town because they're filming some of the new avengers movie in Durham and Chris Hemsworth who plays Thor is here!

No, Sweet

The central heating system is separate from the gas fire

I hope you and Miss Bramble are having a lovely rest day

Moonie

Moonie, it's a pity that bleeding the radiators didn't have any effect. It looks as if it's more complicated so it looks as if you'll need to wait for a heating engineer. A 30 year thermostat does sound rather elderly so that could well be the problem. Or there's a problem with a pump or the divertor valve, being a combi-boiler, (those are definitely for an engineer to sort out).

I never touch anything electrical or gas related El

I would probably blow the street up or electrocute myself

We have several beaches within a forty minute drive from us.

Largs is the one we go to most often but it has a pebble beach.

Troon and Ayr have nice sandy beaches and I used to go to Saltcoats beach when I was a child.

BTW, we got an unannounced visit from my parents just as we were about to leave.

By the time they left, three hours later, the notion had gone off us.
