Youtube clip by Tobias Butler from the Forest of Dean with a roof top view of parts of the centre of Gloucester.

Very strong warning that the way the clip is shot and the height is likely to produce nausea and/or vertigo for many people so I'll just post a link rather than the clip here. Proceed with caution.

He has to be a bit mad, to walk along the rooftop edges of those buildings.

Good morning everyone, lovely sunny weather here too, have a great time making the most of this lovely weather Summer, I think we have to make the most of it as it isn't set to last sadly.

I hope the procession and service goes well for this very holy day EL when our Lord was greeted with such joy, knowing all the time in His heart what awaited Him.  Without this Holy Week we wouldn't have any hope would we? Incidentally 27 years this day that my dear late husband and I were baptised, along with a wonderful group of friends, amongst a dear congregation and by our pastor John.

Enjoy your day everyone

There's been a theory that Isambard Kingdom Brunel designed Box Tunnel (on the railway between Bath and Chippenham) so that on his birthday (9 April) the rising sun would shine directly through the full length of the tunnel (1.83 miles). Yesterday some of the GWR staff tried to see if that's true. It's not but they took this photo:

The sun can be seen throughout the tunnel twice a year but on an earlier day in April and in early September.

As GB had already lost 3 matches of their Davis Cup matches against France, the last 2 matches had no effect but had to be played. This clip from the match between Great Britain's Dan Evans and France's Julien Benneteau is more than a bit unusual.

As it was, the match was the only one won by GB with Dan Evans winning 6-1, 6-2. I assume that what is in the clip was only done for a very short time.
