Moonie, I'm glad you aren't having to go round in soaking wet clothes

Not half as glad as me El
Good morning everyone, lots of pale grey clouds but dry so far. I am glad you finally managed to get your washing dry Moonie. Velvet I hope the boss is getting better by the day and, as Yogi says, don't neglect yourself now
I'm glad you had a good day with the wee ones Yogi and I hope today is a lovely day with your Mum and Dad. Summer have a great day with your sister.
I thought I would show you the handsome chap (he's got me putting out mealworms for him now ). He had 7 females to choose from and spent the whole of one day calling for a mate from my garden down into the valley and hey presto next day there was a gorgeous female who follows him everywhere.
Squiggle, the chances of a pheasant in my garden are next to zero - nice pictures
Because the next Olympics (2020) are in Japan, they are trying to get enough English speakers. Some of the teachers trying to teach people are using a surprising well known series.
So if they start talking like
you know why.

Wow, you are lucky and they are beautiful squiggle
Long may they grace your garden :nods:

El, you mean there maybe thousands of 'Japanese Manuels' roaming around Japan?
I tried my new shears and secutairs earlier and nearly cut my internet cable on the wall
Moonie, that's the possibility with thousands of Japanese claiming to be from Barcelona
Therefore it's a non sequitur to sever your internet cable with secateurs
Could have been worse, you could have done that with an electricity cable
Today's Postman Pat on CBBC:

There is a reason why I've posted it

Don't buy a chainsaw is the moral of the story
I wouldn't trust myself with one of those things Velvet
I would probably end up cutting a body part or two off
My Mum has a peacock outside her window now! She has settled in reasonably well. Luckily her friends have been visiting.
Evening all.
El, I know a little lady who would enjoy that Postman Pat video
Yikes Moonie, you were lucky you missed that cable.
lol Velvet, no chainsaws allowed
Squiggle, I love the pics of the pheasant, he is gorgeous.
I hope Summer is having a lovely time with her sister.
Joe, you must be relieved that your mum is settling in, and it's good that her friends are able to visit.
Goodnight and sweet dreams everyone.
Hugs for the night owls.

I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning all
Weather is bright ATM but unfortunately rain is forecast.
Summer, as El said, you need to check out Fluffy's Blackpool thread.
I'm glad you had a lovely day with your family.
I'm off to Waterstones, then Dobbies garden centre and then Morrisons (Moonie, I'll remember your cakes!).
Have a good day everyone.
Yogi, I hope you have a successful trip to Waterstones, Dobbies and Morrisons

Good morning everyone, we've had a bit of rain but I'm pleased to say that all the grey clouds are being blown away now leaving some white clouds behind. The forecast is dry for next week, I hope they're right, my grandson is doing decking, not for me but for a local guy.
Busy morning Yogi! I hope all goes well. How lovely that your Mum is settling in well GJ and with a peacock to make her feel special too.
Enjoy your day everyone
Squiggle, as you say, it's looking dry from Sunday for a week. It's still dark and rainy here at present.
It's nice for GJ's mum to have sight of a peacock and it's good that her friends are able to see her.

I've got a petrol strimmer and that has a dark side/inner secret/skeleton in the closet.
You make me laugh so much Velvet

I know Yogi
I think Virgin Media charge around ÂĢ200 for reconnection if you sever the cable even accidentally yourself

Good gal
Good afternoon everyone
It was raining earlier but we have intermittent sunshine now. Quite pleasant, in fact
Have a super day and may the sun shine on you too
Moonie, hopefully you'll never need to find out what Virgin would charge. Weather here is similar to yours.
Your post reminded me of my favourite blessing which I've posted before. Traditional Irish:
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
That's a beautiful blessing
afternoon all I've been trying to get on here for hours and keep getting thwarted!
My mum is on her way home now, it's been lovely having her here. I am looking forward to a few quiet nights to myself at home now though
i'll go and have a look at this Blackpool thread now thanks guys

I hope note either
It was lovely and warm earlier but clouding over now and cooler
Love that blessing El

I hope your mum has a safe journey home Sweet. I'm pleased her visit went so well
You won't know what to do with all that peace and quiet
Summer, I'm glad your mum's visit was good and I hope her journey home is straightforward
Evening all.
Cakes for Moonie (and everyone else)
That's a lovely blessing, El.
Summer, I'm glad you had a nice time with your mum and she had a safe trip home. Enjoy your peace and quiet.
I'm having an early night. Goodnight and sweet dreams everyone.
Hugs for the night owls.
*night owls*
evening all, I hope you're sleeping soundly by now yogi I hope you're enjoying your early night
My mum got home safely thank you but my quiet evening didn't quite go as planned.. I finished work late, and a friend of mine called to ask for a girl chat, so she came by and shared tea with me.
Hopefully tomorrow amd saturday evenings will give me the chance to have an early night
wishing you all very sweet dreams
Good morning everyone
It had been raining here but it's now sunny.
Yogi, I hope you had a good night's sleep
Summer, I'm glad your mum got home safely and I hope you are able to catch up on your sleep tonight and tomorrow
I hope everyone has a good day
Moin! I've been very busy going round the banks and stopping standing orders.
lots to do!
Ta! The main issue is that local banks don't have managers and one has to make an appointment. The next appointment is at the back end of next week! The things I'm doing can't be done online. I'm going to a bigger town today.
Good morning everyone
T'is raining.
Joe, I hope you get your banking sorted out.
Every time I go into my bank, I find the staff (lovely people BTW) have been told to encourage people to do things online rather than in branch. Whilst I have internet banking, I prefer human interaction.
It's the same with those self service checkouts, I hate them!
El, I agree, this is not progress!
Summer, I hope you get your peace and quiet tonight.
Have a good day everyone.
