Good morning everyone

It rained here earlier on but is currently dry. Still looking like more rain though

Yogi, a company name for PB "PB and Dad Builders"

Joe, I hope you have better times with your mum soon. Chin up

El, I hope your sunshine arrives sooner rather than later

Sweet, I'm glad your evening went well

Squiggle and Velvet, I hope your days go well

Have a super day friends

PB would have to be the boss.

Thanks Moonie, I could do with some sunshine as it's very chilly ATM.

Hi Moonie.

My day was good thanks. I went grocery shopping and visited my middle son and DiL.

Was your day good?

That's good
you did the visiting for a change then?

My day was okay fankoo. Washed a bit, shopped a bit, slobbed a lot

 Yes

Nothing wrong with a bit of sobbing, now and again.

How right you are too

Well as the weather is supposed to be getting a little warmer, I may attack the gardening

I am actually going to draw some money out of the bank too, for a change

What will you be upto Yogi?

I'm looking forward to getting back into the garden but it's still pretty cold up here.

I'm off to the nurse in the morning and then middle son said he might pop in.

It has been colder here the last few days than it was in midwinter

I hope your nurse visit goes well

That's good

Moin!

I'm living through busy times. We had a meeting yesterday and such is the level of confusion and frailty it looks like Mum can't support herself anymore. There are added blood disorder issues too. It had been heartbreaking to see the change in someone who was out every day meeting friends for coffee up until a few weeks ago.

i haven't been following other people's issues so I do hope all of you are healthy and enjoying life.

I've had my jab. I walked to the doctors and on the way back met someone who used to be a client. We walked and had a long chat. He told me that he's been diagnosed with multiple system atrophy. It's similar to Parkinsons but is rarer and more aggressive. It's early days and at present he's able to walk into town.

What a terrible shame for that man, El.

It is and he's in his late 50s I think. He tried to claim ESA but they rejected his claim. He could appeal but doesn't want to go through the stress of having to appear before a tribunal. He's not able to work though they consider that he's able to.

A couple of missions are being planned to go to Europa, one of Jupiter's moons.

Europa is considered to be an icy surface but with water below the ice so could have some form of alien life.

Arthur C Clarke's sequel to 2001 - 2010 Odyssey Two, published in 1982, is based in part on this possibility. It was filmed in 1984 though a poor film compared to the original film. (I did see the original at the cinema. Although 2001 has been shown on television it's a film which has to be seen in the cinema to get the exhilarating effect)
