It's an ash cloud from Berrow Hill near Dudley, a volcano which has started erupting after being dormant for millions of years
It's not really erupting but it is what's left of what was a volcano.

I've been a busy bee today; a nice long walk with a muddy bramble, then delivering birthday gifts to my friends house led to cooking and visiting another friend.. finally a bath, late tea and a quick game of chase bramble around the house.. and the day has vanished! 
I did finish my book whilst in the bath though so now have to choose a new one- I have several options

Haha moonie! It's a daily occurance chasing Bramble around the house, usually as we get home in the evenings. Today she opted out of her lunch break walk in favour of snoozing upside on the sofa in our staff room
