Being in a flippant mood, I thought I would quote from these 2 postings - I know they are extracted from unrelated topics

Agreed Yogi

Also looking back at my post about the little black baby fish We do get babies in our pond and the first time I saw one I was amazed at where the tiny black fish had come from

It seems as if someone (me!) may not have been listening when they explained about the birds and the bees

Good morninge everyone

Another warm sunny day, but over Friday to Sunday, there is the risk of thundery showers in my part of the country.

My brother is coming down later on this afternoon, will be staying with me (previous visits he stayed at our parents' house), and will go back to London after lunch on Monday. This does mean that I'm unlikely to be much around here, if at all. So don't panic if I seem to be missing.

Have a great Easter weekend, and I hope that Joyron continues to recover

El Loro

Good morning everyone, sorry we missed you Wilma .

EL I hope the weather forecasters have got it wrong and the sun shines on your and your brother all weekend, have a great time.  We won't panic if you're not here but we will miss you

Joyron hope you are feeling even better this morning.  Leaving hugs for Yogi hope your tummy is better and ready for delicious cakes and Skylark (Skylark I see I was so long composing this post that you have nipped in ahead of me so I hope your uniform fits a treat and that you have a good day )

Good afternoon everyone.    It's another glorious, fairly warm, sunny day here today and looks like the weekend will remain the same.

I'm feeling quite a lot brighter today.  The visit to the physio went okay.  I have two further appointments booked over the next four weeks.  I still have to stay on the two crutches until I see the physio again.  She said there is still far too much swelling and trying to walk with only one crutch will put too much strain on the bad leg.

She rang my doctors while I was there and arranged an appointment for me later today (don't know HOW she managed to do that) to try and get some stronger painkillers sorted out.  She said I won't be able to do the required exercises to the best of my ability without the pain being properly under control.  So we will see what the doctor has to say later.

I've got No.1 son and the grandchildren coming this evening to stay until Sunday evening so I doubt I will be about much either until next week.  Hope you have a great weekend with your brother El Loro.  Hope the new uniform fitted okay Skylark.

In case I don't get back for a while I wish each and everyone of you and very happy and joyful Easter, whatever you are doing and wherever you may be.  God bless.

Is it a flare up do you think Yogi?

I think it's a bit of a blockage, Squiggle. I get terrible stomach spasms, then gurgling sounds, then I'm sick and then the pain subsides.

I know not to eat apples or raw carrots because it can cause problems but I've been okay with blueberries - until now.

Cooking them is a good idea, El, because I can eat stewed apples and cooked carrots without any difficulty.

Joyron, I'm pleased your physio is sorting out the painrelief problems.

Have a lovely weekend with your family - make sure they take good care of you, and I hope you have a wonderful Easter.

Yogi19

Hi everyone, cooking the blueberries sound the best thing Yogi, it is a nuisance though isn't it.  I cannot eat sweetcorn and avoid it like the plague.  Joyron I am glad you are getting such good medical care, have a great weekend with your family.  EL I am glad you liked my first Easter photo, there will be others to celebrate this special season.

The fish were waiting for me when I got back, they are all safely in the pond now.  They seem lovely healthy fish (so far) and about twice the size I have been buying from the previous suppliers.

I have taken pics as requested, they seem to be very beautiful fish

I'm feeling a lot better, and have even managed to eat something. (Heinz Cream Of Chicken soup, because that's what my mum used to give me when I was a little girl and was ill.)

Thanks for the kiss, Squiggle.

I agree Heinz Cream of Chicken Soup, so comforting

That is so true. It's the same with Coke and Fanta, they taste much better in glass bottles. Now, that reminds me of going to the cinema (we called it the pictures) when I was wee.
