squiggle posted:Good morning everyone, it's dry with no frost but a bitterly cold wind. Yogi make sure you wrap up warm if you do have to go out but my advice would be to stay in the warm, I hope your cold continues to improve
Enjoy your day everyone
I took your advice, Squiggle.
I'm so pleased that wedding dress has been found.
I'm having another early night. Goodnight and sweet dreams everyone.
Hugs for any night owls.

Apart from my normal duties and football I've been hanging on for news from Toots or his relations.
Nothing to report as yet. I hope all is well.
night yogi summer GJ
Night everyone! xx
Good morning everyone
Another cloudy and cold day (very slightly warmer than yesterday). There's a bit of light rain around, it's not likely to snow ay my level.
The Bramble in the bank was looking up at the man getting cash out of the machine. What's he going to get for me?
I hope those with colds are getting better
I hope everyone has a good day
Moin! We expect heavy rain today too. There were snow flurries at the game yesterday.
Healthy wishes to everyone! I have to dash!
Good morning everyone, lots of heavy grey clouds today, still cold. I am looking forward to the forecast rising temperatures this week.
I hope everyone with sniffles is feeling much better this morning.
Enjoy your day everyone
Good afternoon all
It's bitterly cold and we've had a couple of flurries of snow.
Joe, I hope you get an update on Toots soon.
El, I don't fancy the idea of robotic bus drivers.
Have a good day everyone.
Yogi, I agree with you, the idea of robotic bus drivers is very odd. I doubt if the average adult passenger on the local buses would be pleased about it. Children might be but then it's possible that some of them would start messing about with the robot driver.
I don't know whether anyone else watched it but I just caught up with the first of a new series I recorded on Friday, Celebrity Carry on Barging. I enjoyed it and I think it might be worth a catch up, it's on C5.
Squiggle, I see that Channel 5 have done an ITV and Channel 4 - you now have to register to be able to watch their catch up.
That's sad EL
Someone I know from church does some amateur stage acting. She old me today that she's rehearsing for two plays. Ibsen's A Doll's House and a stage play based on 'Allo 'Allo.
I hope she doesn't get the two plays mixed up

i loved Allo Allo
Evening all I hope you've all had a lovely day, it's been cold, wet & horrid here all day! I've got a vegetable lasagne in the oven, and have had a long hot bath to warm up after our wet walk
Summer, I hope you enjoy your lasagne
The only version of A Doll's House I can remember seeing was the 1992 BBC version which had Juilet Stevenson and Trevor Eve in. It's a powerful play as one would expect from Ibsen. I read his An Enemy of the People at school as part of my English Literature O level. He also wrote the play Peer Gynt. You may not ever have seen the play but you will certainly have heard of part of the music which he asked Grieg to write for the play. The piece is called "In the Hall of the Mountain King" (Alton Towers quite often uses it in their ads).
Popping in to say an early goodnight to everyone
Sweet dreams and get well soon yogi
My lasagne was delicious thank you El, highly recommend, and with spinach too
sweet dreams velvet & ros if you pop in
night yogi summer velvet thank you summer

The concept of the Allo Allo faux gendarme and his mispronunciation mixed with Ibsen's Doctor is fraught with danger and could not be discussed on a family forum such as this one.
(and that's just for starters)
Good morning everyone
Cloud lifting here and forecast to be a sunny and warmer day.
I hope everyone has a good day
If you are not already aware of this Bradley Wiggins has quit The Jump after breaking his leg. It's a small fracture and not as serious as the injuries which Beth Tweddle and Tina Hobley had last series.

Moin!
The season of re-treating fences, sheds and new garage doors is upon us.
have a good day everyone!
Good morning everyone, it's a bit brighter this morning. I don't watch The Jump but the number of injuries on there seems appalling, I'm amazed they can get insurance for the show.
I hope the boss likes the wig Velvet.
Enjoy your day everyone
GJ, I hope your timber work goes well
Squiggle, I don't watch The Jump either. I don't know if the contestants are covered by insurance, the premiums would be rather large. I assume that the producers get them to sign a disclaimer beforehand.
Latest from Toots!
Hi everyone, thank you very much for all your get well wishes and everything.
Moved from ICU to surgical ward yesterday. I haven't been able to post anything as my eyes have been dilated from the anaesthetic and I've been having trouble reading my phone and typing. It's still a bit off but I think my eyes are a bit better.
A lot of tubes were taken out when I left surgery and then ICU.
I ended up in a lot of pain last night but some Oxycodeine helped me get comfortable. I'm on paracetamol and tramadol at the moment and feeling better this morning. Catheter came out this morning and I'm hoping maybe the drain may be removed this evening.
Thanks again for all the good wishes and sorry it's taken me so long to post a update xx
GJ, thanks for letting us know about Toots and I wish him a full recovery
A nightmare for any campanologist:

Ian Bowman is back home. Although he has a fractured bone in his back he's able to walk.
A football pitch in Aberdeenshire has been invaded by trees:

The council spokeswoman said of the site: "Anecdotally it was rarely used. However it is clear now that the community were not engaged with this plan. It would seem that we were barking up the wrong tree with plans for this site."
I've just noticed that Celebrity Carry on Barging is repeated tomorrow evening 10pm on C5 Simon Callow and Lorraine Chase on a canal barge, unmissable
Squiggle, thanks for that. I've discovered that there's a problem with watching anything on Channel 5 catchup (My6) if you are using the current version of Firefox (51.0.1). Channel 5 are aware of that and advise people to use any other browser for the time being. So I am able to watch things on another browser without having to register with them.

I forgot the show last night, I need to catch up
Evening all apologies for my tardiness today!
Its been another grey, wet & cold day here but I'm pleased to hear that some of you have been blessed with better weather
i looked up Saint Valentine, there's no much to be said about him really, and what is said is disputed anyway... so I'm none the wiser for my curiosity
hope Toots continues to rest and recover
sweet dreams all
