The current Sky Atlantic advert uses this version of "Ready or Not". Scala & Kolacny Brothers is a Belgian women's choir (the brothers are the conductor and pianist and this version was originally made for a video game called Evolve. It's quite pleasant and more musical than the original (The Delfonics) and better known covers.

I ran the payroll for a client this morning using the software I've got. The director reached the age of 65 this month which means he no longer pays national insurance but the company does. So I changed the NI code from A to C. I processed the payroll. When I saw the details of the FPS (full payment submission) alarms bells rang. I've been in touch with the software people to get this sorted out.

Looks as if the year to date tax and NI figures have been duplicated resulting in tax and NI showing as some ÂĢ10k too much. So an extremely serious error.

Another car spun off at the Elmbridge Court roundabout where the traffic lights have been out of action for a week. Here's an overhead photo of the roundabout as it is at present.

You can see where the new shortcut through the roundabout is being created. I had originally thought that the shortcut would enable traffic to go between the northern bypass (at the top) and the golden valley bypass at the bottom right in both directions but I've now found a diagram of the proposals which indicate it's just traffic from the golden valley bypass to the northern bypass, not the other direction. That's logical as the road bear the top on the right is quieter than the the two on the left.

The connecting bits between the bypasses to the roundabout opposite the two ends of the shortcut have not yet been constructed.

The new traffic lights system will be 24 hours each day.

Yogi, I'm glad you were able to catch up with your best friend

It was just as well I spotted that error. The payroll software people haven't come back to me yet so it looks as if this won't get cleared up until next week now.

As you say, it's a complicated roundabout. At present there are traffic lights at each junction (well, there would be if they weere working) apart from coming out of Gloucester (the one on the left towards the top of the photo). I hope that the new system will have lights at that junction as well as otherwise one will have to look ahead for traffic coming through the short cut towards the northern bypass at the same time as to the right. If they don't then it will be carnage.

As you say, El, the planners really do need to get it right, otherwise there will be chaos.

It wouldn't be chaos, but carnage. Just imagine coming out of Gloucester, waiting for there to be no traffic coming from the right before moving on to the roundabout only to suddenly find traffic at 70 mph moving right across your path in front of you If there are no traffic lights there, that's not a remote possibility but a 100% probability.

Yes all is okay now thanks Yogi.

Sorry to hear about your son. He's gonna be out of action for a bit then         How did it happen?

That's good,

He was playing football My response was, "What a plum!"

Luckily, it's his left arm so he can still go to work. DiL is going to have to drop him off and pick him up though.

oh no yogi!!!!! Is it a clean break?

Last night, they thought it was a hairline fracture but it was rechecked this morning and now they are saying it's a break.

Well, it's a good job they had a second look

He has to go back next Friday to get the stookie checked.

Good morning everyone

Sunny and frosty here.

Velvet, I reckon I'm down to minus figures by now

Yogi, I'm sorry to hear about your fractured son My next door neighbour did somethin similar with one of his legs playing football some time before Christmas which incapacitated him for some time. He's back driving now but not yet able to resume playing football. PB would have a great time decorating the cast

I hope everyone has a good day
