Watched that Stolen Jools short film which I had recorded. Not the best film I've ever seen but amusing to try to spot those taking part. The film was made in 1931 so some of the major stars of that time who were in the film are unlikely to mean anything to most people but some of them will be recognisable. The version I had recorded had a lot of crackling on some of the sound track but I think the sound quaility of this Youtube is better.

The credis at the end are in sequence order so it's easy to check if you were right.

Velvet, I think it quite's quite likely that Vladimir Cosma had Erik Satie's Gnossiennes in mind when he wrote Sentimental Walk.

The Gnossienne number 1 was used to very good effect in the Poirot episode "Five Little Pigs. That was the finest episode of the whole series in my view. IMDB has it as the 3rd highest regarded out of the 70 made so I'm not alone.

Good morning everyone, sunny here, makes a nice change.  I'm glad you had a good weekend Yogi, it's quite nice to wrap up warm and then come in from the cold, maybe to a roaring fire and some hot chocolate.

Summer I dreamt I had a go on a flying motorbike! I've never been on a motorbike in my life, my Dad wouldn't let me when I was young and my hubby was not a biker, although both my grandsons are.

Enjoy your day everyone

~Sparkling Summer~

Good morning everyone, we have the first frost of the winter, but it's a lovely sunny sparkling crisp morning.   Good luck with de-icing your car EL, brings back horrible memories.   We had a car that used to fog up no matter how much you de-iced it so you spent the first 10 minutes trying to clear the windscreen to see where you were going. It's good to be able to finish that huge job, and bang on time for the end of the month.  I hope your client visit goes well.

Enjoy your day everyone

Squiggle, thanks I didn't have a problem with the car as the sunlight had got rid of most of the ice by the time I went out. Although I've got the majority of information for the huge client I've got to go through it which will take some time so I won't be finishing until some time next week. So it will be slightly later than I had hoped but I don't think it will be a problem.

I keep some condensation pads in my car which help to some extent but it still steams up in cold weather. As with Summer's car it doesn't take a long time to clear generally unless it's nightime and colder.

I had a phone call today from a local firm of couriers wanting to finalise arrangements with my pictures business when I was open over Christmas week and needed to get my goods delivered. As you can imagine I was rather bemused and it turned out that they had thought they were ringing one number but somehow rang me. 4 of the 6 digits were correct but 2 were wrong and it wasn't a case that they had pressed an adjoining key so rather strange. (they haven't rung before so it's not a case of my number being stored).
