Well done Summer
You'll have nothing to do until Christmas
Watched that Stolen Jools short film which I had recorded. Not the best film I've ever seen but amusing to try to spot those taking part. The film was made in 1931 so some of the major stars of that time who were in the film are unlikely to mean anything to most people but some of them will be recognisable. The version I had recorded had a lot of crackling on some of the sound track but I think the sound quaility of this Youtube is better.
The credis at the end are in sequence order so it's easy to check if you were right.
Grieg's March of the Trolls - piano version
If you watch that full screen, there are times where his fingers are moving so fast that the camera can't quite keep up.
Velvet, I think it quite's quite likely that Vladimir Cosma had Erik Satie's Gnossiennes in mind when he wrote Sentimental Walk.
The Gnossienne number 1 was used to very good effect in the Poirot episode "Five Little Pigs. That was the finest episode of the whole series in my view. IMDB has it as the 3rd highest regarded out of the 70 made so I'm not alone.
Good morning everyone
Very cloudy here at present, may brighten up a bit later.
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning everyone, very cloudy here too EL, quite gloomy. I hope Yogi is having a great time, and maybe with better weather than we're getting.
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning I hope you're all having a good weekend?
Its overcast here, and no frost. Shame.
I'm going to walk Bramble and then meet some friends for a bite to eat
what are you all up to?
Still cloudy here though tomorrow and Tuesday are forecast to be sunny though turning colder.
As it's Advent Sunday I can say "Happy New Year" to you
Evening all
We had a lovely weekend. The weather was very cold but didn't detract from the beautiful scenery and relaxing time - even if I did have to wear so many layers, I looked like a weeble.
Yogi, I'm glad you had a lovely weekend
Hopefully even if you wobbled you didn't fall down (I remember my mother saying the catchphrase many years ago)

Good morning everyone
Cloudy here at present though forecast to become sunny later this morning. Tomorrow and Wednesday nice weather but cold.
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning a dull overcast day here today, garrrr!
How are we all this morning? I hope you've all slept well
Good morning everyone, sunny here, makes a nice change. I'm glad you had a good weekend Yogi, it's quite nice to wrap up warm and then come in from the cold, maybe to a roaring fire and some hot chocolate.
Summer I dreamt I had a go on a flying motorbike! I've never been on a motorbike in my life, my Dad wouldn't let me when I was young and my hubby was not a biker, although both my grandsons are.
Enjoy your day everyone
Summer, it's become sunny here now so you may find it gets sunnier in your area.
I'm expecting to resume work on the huge job this afternoon The client is later with the info I need than I would have liked.
Squiggle, I hope you didn't fall off that flying motorbike.
Afternoon everyone.
Weather is cloudy but dry ATM.
lol Squiggle, I wonder what made you dream of a flying motorbike. Aren't dreams random at times.
Summer, I hope your weather improves.
Good luck with the work, El. Shame they didn't get the info to you sooner.
Thanks Yogi
I've just used that ÂĢ5 note I got for the radio survey at the Co-op and part of that went on a packet of Muller yoghurts - they are new with a couple of apple & cinnamon compote and a couple of plum compote corner yoghurts.

Did you enjoy the ride?
maybe it's not too late for you to ride on the back of a bike with the wind blowing through your hair.. !
I love how dreams can transport us to wierd & wonderful places
Meanwhile, I hope you all had a good day. El was right and our region did have some sunny spells this afternoon. As I put Bramble out for her last penny, I noticed a frost is forming already
Hi Summer, I've been in the IAC thread and then the Brixton one and now I'm off to bed as it's minding day tomorrow. I hope you've had a good day and I'll catch up with you later. Goodnight and sweet dreams, Summer, Ros and Velvet.
Sweet dreams yogi I hope you've enjoyed both programmes. Have a superb day tomorrow
night yogi summer velvet
Good morning everyone
Clear blue sky and sub-zero temperatures here as expected.
I've now got the majority of the information I was waiting for on the huge job. Also meeting a client this morning - it's likely to take as long to get the ice off the car as it does to get there
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning everyone, we have the first frost of the winter, but it's a lovely sunny sparkling crisp morning. Good luck with de-icing your car EL, brings back horrible memories. We had a car that used to fog up no matter how much you de-iced it so you spent the first 10 minutes trying to clear the windscreen to see where you were going. It's good to be able to finish that huge job, and bang on time for the end of the month. I hope your client visit goes well.
Enjoy your day everyone
Squiggle, thanks I didn't have a problem with the car as the sunlight had got rid of most of the ice by the time I went out. Although I've got the majority of information for the huge client I've got to go through it which will take some time so I won't be finishing until some time next week. So it will be slightly later than I had hoped but I don't think it will be a problem.
Good afternoon it's been a cold & sunny day here today, I laid in, met a friend for lunch, walked Bramble and did some housework.
Squiggle, is that the car you had for a very long time? My car steams up easily, but it doesn't take long to clear
I keep some condensation pads in my car which help to some extent but it still steams up in cold weather. As with Summer's car it doesn't take a long time to clear generally unless it's nightime and colder.
I had a phone call today from a local firm of couriers wanting to finalise arrangements with my pictures business when I was open over Christmas week and needed to get my goods delivered. As you can imagine I was rather bemused and it turned out that they had thought they were ringing one number but somehow rang me. 4 of the 6 digits were correct but 2 were wrong and it wasn't a case that they had pressed an adjoining key so rather strange. (they haven't rung before so it's not a case of my number being stored).
