I might have to join you.

My local council are already aware of my complaining skills, re the potholes in my village.

I think it's only fair that STV get a share of my moaning.

Good morning everyone

I'll make you jealous with the weather here at present - a fantastically sunny morning with hardly any cloud (though it will get a bit cloudier later on). Looks as if the chances of getting soaked tomorrow during our Palm Sunday procession are now much lower

Skylark, I saw you posted about setting up a weight loss thread. Did you know that there is a long running one over in the Lounge?

El Loro

Good morning everyone its a little grey here today and cold so EL could you push your weather this way a bit?  Thanks

Speaking about moaning as some were in this thread, I find I have to make a conscious effort not to think too much about politics as it can make me very grumbly

I too want to know how the Lynx effect turned out, your poor son Skylark with us speculating on his love life .  I am glad you have the day off and I think its shocking what you and Yogi say about Scottish TV fancy not letting you have Downton

That look your hubby gets Yogi is it the Death Stare? My hubby used to know he was in hot water if he got one of those.  And I have just been reading a novel about Nannies and when she wanted the children to stop what they were doing and listen to her she used her Wicked Witch voice!

Good morning everyone.

El, I'm more than a little bit jealous of your weather, it's overcast up here.

Squiggle, hubby's look says "I'm not having any more of this, you've really annoyed me now!"

Apparently, when sons were young, I also had a look. It said "You've gone too far and are now in big trouble".Youngest son says it still scares him to think about it.

Morning Summer I agree about Downton I am looking forward to the new series.

Yogi, yes that's the look I call it the Death Stare, you have crossed the line and you are in BIG trouble

Apparently there is a legal dispute between ITV and STV over what STV should pay for ITV dramas, and until that is sorted out, Scotland won't get Downton Abbey.

Apparently, many people in Scotland use cable or satellite to get over this. Viewers with satellite or cable television are able to watch ITV1 London on Sky 993, Freesat 977 and Virgin 853.

squiggle, I'll do my best to push some sunnier weather your way, though I see that you and I are going to have a foggy night very early tomorrow morning but it will lift.

Have you been watching that programme The Dales?  There is a lovely young lad on it who's just left school and has started working on the family farm after his Dad died.  Anyway on there there is a lady with 4 young children and another on the way and they are trying to get rid of the moles on the farm (their mole hills ruin the silage) and she and all the children set traps and check them every day.  They have quite a catch so far which I know sounds a bit gruesome but for them its war.  All the children follow her around all day helping, its a lovely show.

I watched it on Virgin 853, El.

The problem is when you use the TV Guide and STV doesn't mention Downton, Lewis, Midsomer etc, you sometimes forget to check 853 for alternative programmes - and then miss it!

Squiggle, I had a look on the internet for ways to get rid of moles - there are a lot of traps and poisons out there.

Thanks for looking Yogi , I will see first of all whether my toy windmills work (I've got to smile just writing that it sounds so silly ) before I turn into
