Yogi, I'm glad that Keira slept well and has been able to eat some porridge
I eventually saw the last episode of War & Peace yesterday evening. I've seen three versions, the Henry Fonda/Audrey Hepburn film, the Sergey Bondarchuk Russian film version and the recent BBC series which is the one I was referring to. I haven't seen the earlier BBC series with Anthony Hopkins. Of the three versions I've seen this was the best as it was more digestible than the Russian one. It's easy to pick holes with the series as it had to pick and choose from the book otherwise it would have been 100 hours long. What struck me was that it did attempt to have something much philosophical than just war and romance.
For anyone who likes The Avengers series from the 1960s, an episode from the first series which had been thought of as lost has been found. A short extract from that was shown on Newsnight last night.
Good evening, my 3G symbol reappeared late in the afternoon but alas, nothing would actually load. I managed to connect my emails for a short time but then it went off again.
Its EE, my friends on Vodafone aren't experiencing any problems
i hope you've all enjoyed the day
the plan for Keira sounds great, I hope she's enjoying her little meals and that she gets nice & strong to fight off the chest infection
Evening all.
Keira has eaten all of her meals today and seems more alert and brighter. She has taken her meds with no problem too.
Summer, I hope your phone and email problem gets resolved soon. It must be driving you round the twist.

I feel a lot more positive tonight.
I'm watching Paul O'Grady's For The Love Of Dogs. He really loves dogs.

Not yet. It's functional but just not as we know it. Maybe next week when someone brings up the dreaded word - meringue
lol You're working with its idiosyncrasies then?
Oooh, I love meringues! I've never attempted to make them.
Did someone say meringue?! yummy!
Hi Summer, you just caught me.
I hope you've had a good day despite the phone/email problems?
Goodnight and sweet dreams Summer and Velvet.
Night owl hug for Ros
It's been just fine thank you yogi sweet dreams

night yogi summer velvet
Good morning everyone
Cloudy here and some rain is likely during the morning.
Yogi, that's encouraging news about Keira
Summer, you must be getting rather fed up with EE
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning everyone, we've had a fair bit of rain overnight and the clouds are still looming very heavy overhead.
Keira is such a good girl and I hope she is back to her old self really quickly Yogi. That doesn't sound very encouraging from EE Summer. My family is all on Vodafone because that's who my daughter is with. She bought a phone first and we've all followed on, it does mean with Vodafone Family that we can all phone each other free of charge. I don't know whether there's a similar scheme with EE. Anyway I hope the service improves sharpish. I hope we hear from Moonie today.
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning everyone.
Dry and bright atm with rain forecast for later.
Thanks El and Squiggle, Keira continues to improve.
Out and about this morning, then hoping to get my car washed before the rain appears.
Have a good day everyone.
Highlight of my morning so far has been filling in my annual return which is required by my accountancy institute. Although it's 28 pages long quite a lot of it is already brought forward from the previous year's return. It's done though I won't file it until mid month.
Yogi, I'm glad Keira continues to improve
Looks as if everyone here is getting some rain today at some point in time.
Moin! It's a lovely morning and we should be getting the bikes out but may listen to Pop Quiz first.
We had the youngest yesterday ( and today) exhausted!
I'm taking the eldest to Manchester for the football tomorrow!
I managed to update the accounts yesterday and have put them away until February.
Lots of regards to everyone's doggies and 'phones - I hope you all get sorted out.
Good morning look who's network coverage is back yippppeeeee!!!!!
I'm usually very happy happy with EE, the service is normally good and my contract is a brilliant package, so although it's been frustrating, I can't complain really.
How are we all today?
GJ, I assume you've done your 15/16 tax return already when you say you've put the accounts away until February as of course the deadline is January
Summer, I'm glad your network coverage has been restored
My tax returns were done and dusted in June! I tend to update every three months and they are usually ready for the accountant at all he end of April. I'm quite obsessive.
GJ, I thought I saw you post something back then that you'd done your tax returns (as have I - it wouldn't look good if an accountant failed to do their return on time).
I update my books weekly, with a monthly sheet & cross referencing system, and get the return done right after my year end in July
I'm hungry, I blame the clock change
My brother will be arriving around 4pm for the weekend so I won't be around that much. It's my turn to provide the cake and I've got some gingerbread latte cake from the Co-op to try. Here's some for anyone who wants some (sorry Summer for making you feel even more hungry)
Summer, I'm so pleased you've got your phone and email problems sorted out.
Joe, I hope you've recovered from your minding duties.
El, that cake looks so yummy! I hope you have a lovely weekend with your brother,
omg El, that pic made my mouth water!!!! Have a great weekend with your brother
hi yogi, have you had a good day?

Hi Summer, my day has been good. How was yours?
It's been upside down really- busy morning and quiet afternoon, which is unheard of for a Friday
are there any fireworks near you?

I wonder why the day was topsy turvy?
There were fireworks going off at tearime then it went quiet. Then it started again about ten minutes ago.
I hope they're not bothering Keira, how is she today?
~Sweet Sizzling Samba!~ posted:I hope they're not bothering Keira, how is she today?
She is out for the count and not bothered at all. She is much better. As soon as she heard her bowl going onto the worktop, she was straight into the kitchen for her food - four times a day! She is in for a shock when she goes back to her normal twice a day. Seriously though, she has more energy, looks happy again and even wanted to play with her toys, so she is definitely on the mend.
Watching Gogglebox and they are watching Michael Buble - and all love him.
Aw that's wonderful! go Keira you know they're happy when they start to play again. How much longer is she on meds for?
Did hear about Buble's son on the news?

Her meds last for a week.
No, what has happened to his son?
I've googled. Awful news for the family. Let's hope all the love, prayers and positive thoughts that people are sending, will help them fight this.
It's awful isn't it, he's so young! I hope he can fight it and I'm sure he'll be seen by the best doctors possible.
That should sort Keira's chest out then, she's doing so much better already

He'll get the best care.
Yes, she is much improved, thank goodness.
I've got to go search for a birthday present. Wish me luck!
Goodnight and sweet dreams, Summer.
Night owl hugs.
Good luck! sweet dreams yogi
