Yes thanks Yogi. Wet weather programme. I also hope El Loro has a good day. Since I managed to deregister from VAT it all seems straightforward.
That's exciting joe, I hope the recce goes well and you find your Christmas destination
I've booked our dinner; my mum & I will be dining out this year, as we always used to do when I lived near her
Good morning everyone, quite a few clouds this morning but still some blue sky to be seen.
I'm glad you feel a little better now your cold has come out fully Summer. I hope that huge job is going well EL.
Enjoy your day everyone
Yogi and GJ, thanks, I hope my work day runs smoothly. So far, it's OK.
I've had a client who tried to deregister for VAT as their turnover was below the threshold and HMCE as it was then refused to allow them to do so. That was quite a few years ago but I know that it's up to HMRC to make the decision.
BBC news of the week quiz this time:

It's not so much the 7 questions in the quiz but the 3 descriptions given at the end as to how you've done. No prizes for spotting the link between those decriptions.
New proposals for electric cars could be rather confusing :

I've guessed the link but won't say in case others want to do the quiz
Goodnight and sweet dreams, hugs for the night owls.
Sweet dreams yogi I hope you have a lovely early night
If anyone comes knocking, I'll be in the Darnie thread
wheres moonie today?
Moin! It looks like a mixed day of weather types. We'll probably do some housework.
Good luck to the rest of you!
Good morning everyone
Cloudy here at present, forecast to be a day of cloud, sunshine and heavy showers.

An non-English clip from inside the cave:
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning everyone, nice blue sky again, a few fluffy white clouds, on the whole a nice morning. An interesting clip EL, some good artists there.
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning everyone.
Weather is dark, damp and gloomy.
Squiggle, I hope your weather is better than mine.
Joe, how did the hotel recce go?
El, I love the cave paintings.
Summer, I hope you have a quiet day at work.
Velvet, I hope you have a good weekend too.
No Moonie for a few days now.
Have a good day everyone.
I hope Moonie's OK
Some M&S salted caramel and hazelnut tarts this weekend, I think they may be different from the caramel and hazelnut tarts they had before. I told the assistant at the till that I was the official M&S taster of cakes and puddings on this forum
65 years ago today a programme was shown on American television of which this is an extract.
It became the most famous American comedy series of the 1950s. The husband and wife in it formed their own production company (Desilu) which would later produce the original Star Trek series.
Good afternoon everyone
Just popping in to let you I have not and am still not feeling all that well. I have no idea when I will be back "as normal" but will pop in every now and again
Fankoo to everyone who has enquired after me
Have a great weekend and will see you all again soon

I've had a busy day, but it's gone smoothly
hope you feel better soon moons
sorry not been in the thread for a bit but upgraded our router and have had nothing but trouble since so now have very intermittent internet to be sorted soon -a fault on the phone line
night yogi and summer
Good morning everyone
It's been a wet night here, dry at present but more rain is forecast mid morning,
I had one of those salted caramel and hazelnut tarts yesterday. They are nice but are not the same as the previous ones which I preferred which weren't salted. People's views will depend on whether you prefer unsalted caramel or salted caramel.
Ros, I hope your internet problems are sorted out soon. Very frustrating for you
Summer and Moonie, I hope you are feeling better today
I hope eveyone has a good day
Good morning everyone, I think we might have had a bit of rain although I didn't hear any but it's a beautiful morning now. I've never had salted caramels EL, I used to love Jamieson Merry Maid Caramels but I'm a little nervous of toffees now in case they pull a filling out.
Moonie I'm sorry you are feeling a little under par and I hope you will soon feel better
Enjoy your day everyone
Squiggle, I'm like you with toffees and fillings though the salted caramel tarts I have are much less sticky than toffees. Salted caramel is alright but I wouldn't go out of my way to get some.
It's nice and sunny here now
Good afternoon I'm posting on the go, mother and I are out & about today. We had to go buy a new till this morning, because the one at work has taken an impromptu early retirement!
ros, we look forward to having you back properly
how is everyone's afternoon going?
Summer, I hope your new till lasts a good number of years It can't have been easy finding one on a Sunday though Staples stock some.
Any of you going Tut, Tut this evening at 9 rather than smuggling?

Evening all.
El, I love salted caramel desserts but like Squiggle, I'm wary of chewing actual caramels or toffee. I used to love treacle toffee. *drools at the memory*
Summer, I hope you are happy with your new till.
El, I am recording the smuggling and the Tut Tut and will watch both later in the week.
Ros, we miss you popping in, in the evenings. I don't do FB or Twitter but I hear it helps to complain on companys' FB and Twitter pages when you aren't getting any satisfaction from their customer service people.
I hope you are all having a good Sunday.

That's good, Velvet.
Mine has been okay, thanks.
How is your mum doing?
