Still grey, cool and a bit damp now (that's the weather, not me )(though I am a bit grey and might be a bit cool, but not damp)

 

The sale of my parents' house was completed this morning. I've just been round there to pass over the keys and take the meter readings. I had a brief chat with the woman who's bought the house. There's still a lot of work which needs to be done before they actually move in, but they are staying with friends at present. It's good that the people who are moving in really like the place and they intend to live there for many years.

 

The solicitors are sending us the money by cheque - I may get mine either today or tomorrow.

That's good news, El.

It has been a lot of work for you, getting everything organised, so I guess you must be feeling quite relieved (and perhaps a bit emotional) now that the sale is complete.

Hi lovely Baz, hope you are well.

Good afternoon everyone.  I'm pleaased to say I have been back home for about two hours now and I'm doing okay.  Not running about like a spring chicken yet but I will, eventually.

 

Well I've had a really painful experience but it;s done with now and things can only get better.  Thank you all for thinking about me.  I did take my laptop to the hospital but after the one post I did send I just gave up.  I feel SO tired all the time and doing even the least little thing is a big effort.

 

Will try anc catch up with you all tomorrow.

Welcome back Joyron, you're bound to feel tired, you must rest as much as recommended coddle yourself for a wee while.  We missed you.

I have came in to what is like a sauna, my son has had the heating on full blast! I am so hot, well seeing he doesnt pay the bill! Have opened all the windows, whew!!

Only in the paper, but he has not lost one since he dipped them

Me too skylark, I'm 3 pound heavier than my happy weight and bloated off lots of bread then there's a family wedding in 10 weeks so it's probs best I shed half a stone Well done on your salad- it's easier this time off year isn't it

Yes summer, i really need to lose a stone, Crisps are my downfall tho  If i can get over my addiction i have cracked it

When I was at my smallest I used to only eat chocolate on fri & sat! That's not really sustainable tho so I think if you exercise you can treat yourself to something in the evening. I like the sound of the every other day diet but I forget myself

I love food tho! I am telling myself i can eat anything in moderation, then hopefully i wont crave anything....if you see what i mean

Yes!!! And I think that's the best long term approach! I love food, my of my posts are about food lol Are you wanting to get in shape for a particular reason?

Just general health reasons Summer, and i have a very active 3 year old granddaughter that i could keep up with better if i was lighter !

That's the best reason of all then no deadline, no pressure, just a gradual change here & there and it'll come off! 3 year olds sure are energetic aren't they
