Moin! It's dull, dull, dull here, and still quite muggy.
I hope no-one was too affected by the rain.

GJ. although there were some very heavy showers here yesterday I didn't get caught in them.
Good morning everyone, it's a nice morning but going to be very warm later on. I heard thunder rumbling around yesterday and it seemed to have affected my router as I had to re-start it but I don't think the storm got too close.
I am glad your client meeting went well EL and I hope your one this morning does as well.
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning everyone
It was a misty cool start here. Cloudy now but warming up. We could hot 27 degrees today
I have done all my outside chores so that's me sorted for the day
Washing, one line out already. Washerful on its final spin
Have a great day peeps
Squiggle, my client meeting went OK. He was telling me things about his personal life which could have come out of a soap opera. They have little relevance to the work I do for his tax return and I'm not going to start gossiping about them.
Moonie, your weather is much the same here and like you it could get up to 27.

Hi El
I just checked the temperature here and it was 26 degree
27 degrees by 17.00 hours or 5 pm to me and I
Hi Moonie
Just under 23 degrees here. 2 lots of warnings for possible flash flooding for you and me tomorrow afternoon/evening and on Friday.

Yep, the same here too
Which reminds me of the advert which has been on over the last few weeks

I had seen that one El, just once but it's another great advert
Nite nite Buddies. I hope holidaying friends have a great time and return safely. Sleep well, sweet dreams everyone
Good morning everyone
Foggy here.
I hope Yogi had a good journey back home and Summer has a safe journey back when she travels
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning everyone, cloudy here but cooler thank goodness, I can't get anything done when it's too hot. I hope Yogi has a safe journey back and Summer continues to enjoy her break.
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning everyone
Quite foggy here. Cool too. We are supposed to be having our last *decent* day for a while, today
I hope so because I have a boat load of washing to dry
I think the whole of the road slips washing into my washing basket when I am not looking
Have a great day friends
My local website is showing 98% humidity, UV index 0.5, cloud base 196 ft, and 0 mph wind speed all day so far so zero sign that the fog is lifting.
A photo taken today on the local website of a major roundabout not far from me to show what it's like. I'm glad I went out yesterday rather than today.
It should shift as there's a storm coming so the potential for flash flooding, thunder and lightning laster today and tomorrow morning though I'm not expecting it to be dreadful here, it's the south east where there could be more problems in the rush hour tomorrow morning (looking at the lastest Met Office predicitions).
El Loro posted:Moonie, you could install CCTV over your washing basket
Hi El
yes that's a great idea
What an utter disgrace. I am just watching Transport questions from Parliament. In the background there was two MP's texting on their mobile phones
I say again, what an utter disgrace
My word! The he fog has just lifted as we thunder down the track towards York. It may be another hot one. Have a lovely weekend everyone and I hope Rog returns soon!
Moonie, it's a Business questions slot 10.30-11.30 on Parliament and although the MPs were texting during the Transport questions part of that slot, we don't know if those MPs were there for questions which would be raised later. They've now moved on to questions about legalising cannabis for medicial use.
I'll only be there for as long as the train stops. We're on our way to Lille a ce moment la. Or something like that:

El, I still don't think MP's should be texting in the Mother of Parliament, full stop.
It's just my personal opinion
I still have it on btw.
Though I do find it quiet taxing at times
Joe, have a safe journey
El Loro posted:GJ, so you won't get a chance to look at The Shambles
I love those old places. Though that one looks like its gonna collapse inwards
I thought I might try to get m'pocket picked abroad! We were in York last week and tend to avoid the high risk areas like the shambles particularly at the exhibition end!
Love York - went recently.
Enjoyed a salmon omelette at Betty's Tea Rooms - felt right at home in those splendid surroundings and then a lovely surprise when finding a tobacconist and picked up some lovely Century Buttered Rum
One day we may try to access the internet or emails and find that it's down and doesn't come back - cyberwarfare is getting more and more serious.

A video clip sent to my local news website of a drone flying above the fog in the Birdlip area (about 6 miles ESE of Gloucester) (I thought I recognised the hills). It's very very good and is worth watching. There's an ad at the start.
The full screen icon shown doesn't seem to work so if you want to watch it at full screen you can do so via:

Afternoon all, I hope everyone is well?
We had a really lovely time in London. The weather was great, the people were friendly and the Lion King was fabulous!
I've picked up Keira from my mum and dad's - she'd been thoroughly spoilt.
I've been grocery shopping and am in the midst of tackling the washing.
Now waiting on middle son popping in for a cuppa and chat.
Catch up later.
Lovely weather in that London. We had a bite to eat and a couple of beers in the Parcel Yard.
now we are under the channel with a very good 3G signal.
Hope everyone is enjoying their day!
There must be millions of people who have been at St Pancras station (for Eurostar for instance) and have no idea as to who St Pancras was.
He was a Roman citizen who converted to Christanity and was beheaded for his faith at the young age of 14 around 304 AD. The name is Greek and means "the one that holds everything".
BBC article about Sinky, a calf stuck in a hole for 9 days but found and is recovering.

The Gloucester cow is quite a rare breed nowadays but the milk was the base of Double Gloucester cheese and the lesser known Single Gloucester cheese. The dairy farmer who owns Sinky makes genuine Single and Double Gloucester cheese.
The milk from the Gloucester cow is used by a different dairy producer to make the Stinking Bishop cheese, known for being particularly pungent. It shot to fame thanks to Wallace & Gromit in the Curse of the Were rabbit film where it's used to revive Wallace from the dead.

Good to have you back
Thanks Velvet.
It was great to have the break but it's good to be home.

Glad the calf is recovering.
I love Wallace and Gromit.
I've been reading back.
Nice to see you pop in, Sainty. Summer likes Betty's Tearoom too.
Joe, I hope you have a lovely time in Lille and the weather stays nice for you.
Moonie, it's great to have you back and posting regularly again.
