Moin! I think we are hoping for a return to good weather this week. Since we have steadily run out of snowdrops and tulips we bought a load of new ones yesterday so against advice I'm going to put them in this afternoon!
I'm also going to try this boiling water idea against bindweed.

My gardener tells me that he has never seen such a year for bindweed, the worst he has ever known, good luck with the boiling water GJ but won't it kill the plants around it too?

My gardener was telling me EL that he was dealing with bindweed on a garden for one of his regulars and she has a huge wisteria. The bindweed had wound itself around and around the length of it and the stem of the bindweed was very thick, he said it was a nightmare job to get it out of there.
You may remember that were were posting back in February about contestants being injured in The Jump. Article today from Tina Hobley, one of those injured, and she's far from fully recovered.

I was in a rush this morning. Our heating engineer let me know that he could come and service our heating, and then my son's. We'll get a price on a new boiler for him.
As far as boiling water and bindweed go.... There's a lot at the bottom of the garden totally isolated from other plants that I could test it on. However I didn't have time anyway.

I have 3 more Milly Johnson books to choose from, her first, The Yorkshire Pudding Club, It's raining Men, and her latest Sunshine over Wildflower Cottage. I'm reading a Marcia Willett at the moment.

Its lovely & sunny here so I'm lunching outside with Bramble work has calmed down, it's still steadily busy but it's not manic like y'day. I'm tired and boggled though so I'll be glad to finish tonight.
Squiggle, I'm taking Milly's latest on holiday with me, have never yet read Yorkshire pudding club and I really enjoyed it's raining men I'm off to Spain for a week, my mum is coming and we're joining my cousins for a girl's family vacation 
I'm excited because it's going to be very quiet & relaxed, and they all play cards!

The PB ice cream stays in the freezer until her next visit. Nobody is allowed to taste it before she does.
