Good morning everyone

Very cloudy here and showers likely.

Summer, I'm glad you've had a productive week

GJ, I hope you have a nice lunch out today

Antiques Roadshow is back at the usual time this evening. Radio Times says that viewers may want to turn away during the opening montage as it shows people's reactions to their items being valued from future episodes of this series.

I hope everyone has a good day

Good morning everyone.

It's a dull and cloudy start to the day.

Squiggle, I'm sure an exposÃĐ on BB would make very interesting reading.

Summer, enjoy your relaxing Sunday.

Joe, I hope you have a nice lunch, and that your mum is keeping well.

El, that pic of the coffee and walnut cake is making my mouth water.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning everyone, dry and cloudy here.  That cake does look delicious EL.  Enjoy your walk Summer but don't get lost, perhaps Bramble will turn out to be a perfect tracker dog and find your way back home.  That seems rather short sighted of The Antiques Roadshow EL.  I don't watch, I'm not keen on Fiona Bruce.

Enjoy your day everyone

Good morning everyone

Also looks as if it's going to be a sunny Bank Holiday here. GJ. I hope you have a good bike ride

Summer, I may have recognised someone in the background for a split second at the Antiques Roadshow on yesterday's episode. I missed the first couple of minutes so didn't see that montage of spoilers. Hopefully that will only be done for the first episode.

I hope everyone has a good day

It's only part of the poem. The complete version:

I note the obvious differences
in the human family.
Some of us are serious,
some thrive on comedy.

Some declare their lives are lived
as true profundity,
and others claim they really live
the real reality.

The variety of our skin tones
can confuse, bemuse, delight,
brown and pink and beige and purple,
tan and blue and white.

I've sailed upon the seven seas
and stopped in every land,
I've seen the wonders of the world
not yet one common man.

I know ten thousand women
called Jane and Mary Jane,
but I've not seen any two
who really were the same.

Mirror twins are different
although their features jibe,
and lovers think quite different thoughts
while lying side by side.

We love and lose in China,
we weep on England's moors,
and laugh and moan in Guinea,
and thrive on Spanish shores.

We seek success in Finland,
are born and die in Maine.
In minor ways we differ,
in major we're the same.

I note the obvious differences
between each sort and type,
but we are more alike, my friends,
than we are unalike.

We are more alike, my friends,
than we are unalike.

We are more alike, my friends,
than we are unalike.

Summer, I should think it would be very busy for you today and tomorrow then ease off.

I've been drafting the accounts template for a charity client. They have decided to comply with the new SORP FRS 102 accounting standard for charities rather than the existing SORP FRSSE standard. The exisiting one will cease to be allowed next year so they have decided to accept the inevitable and do the change now.

There's a lot of changes in layout and notes as a result , though there's little change as far as the figures are concerned.

I'm using one of the example layouts used by the SORP setting board, the people who came up with the SORP FRS 102.

I've already told the client that I can't guarantee that there won't be disclosure errors in what I do though it's very unlikely that it would matter. I pointed out that I've spotted an error in the example layout. If the standard setters can't get it right, what chance is there of treasurers and accountants getting it right.

Good morning everyone.

Summer, guess which dumpling went to her blood test appointment this morning....only to find out the appointment is tomorrow.

I'm taking hubby for his diabetic eye test this afternoon and we've double checked the date.

lol El and Squiggle, it does make for a short game of snakes and ladders - and virtually ensures a PB win!

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning everyone

Pleasantly sunny here today.

Summer, I'm glad your childminding is going well

I've had some of the M&S coffee & walnut cake (new recipe) which is very nice (provided you like coffee and walnuts ).

I wonder if Chloe the large cat in The Secret Life of Pets is related to Moonie :

I hope everyone has a good day
