*night owls* sweet dreams to all of you who've turned in I hope you've each had a good day

mine was nonstop busy, but so much fun. My friend & her 2 sons popped in for lunch too, so we had a full pancake party!!! The young lady I looked after all day wants to sleep over next week,

Then another friend came over to watch the bake off with me, bramble cuddled her lots and we all thoroughly enjoyed the show

Good morning everyone

Rather murky here at present, should brighten up for some time, but could be some hefty showers early evening and possibly some thunder.

Yogi, would I be right in guessing that you preferred Bake Off

Summer, it sounds as if you had a really good day

Squiggle, I hope you had a better night's sleep

for Moonie.

Velvet, the British magician Nevil Maskelyne wrote in 1908 "It is an experience common to all men to find that, on any special occasion, such as the production of a magical effect for the first time in public, everything that can go wrong will go wrong. Whether we must attribute this to the malignity of matter or to the total depravity of inanimate things, whether the exciting cause is hurry, worry, or what not, the fact remains."

That's years before what became known as Murphy's Law was created.

Films by Ingmar Bergman tend to be of limited appeal to many. The one exception being his adptation of Mozart's The Magic Flute, one of the more watchable films made of operas.

Best seen full screen.

Rather like Olivier's Henry V, it's part set in the theatre and part in the open.

It starts with the overture and the camera looks at individual faces and their emotions. Ingmar Berman and some of his family are there but it's the young girl who draws you in(her name is Helene Friberg).

Good morning everyone, high cloud and the forecast is dry but I wouldn't be surprised if there was the odd sprinkle.

I think if someone was to write a book about the real inside story of Big Brother it would be a best seller, I am sure we would be shocked if we knew the truth.

I bet your garden bench is looking great now Yogi.

Enjoy your day everyone

squiggle

It's one of those days where there's some blue sky and quite bright but it's also raining and there's some thunder as well all at the same time No rainbows though.

Many years ago I was being given a lift in a car and we were on the Golden Valley bypass between Gloucester and Cheltenham. On my left I could see dark clouds across the sky and on my right clear blue sky.
