If 50m people in the UK over 16 (to be on 192), then 250 customers x 197 with the other spelling / 50m is about one in a thousand roughly.
Quick hello while I can it's been very busy here this morning
I hope you two feel gorgeous after your hair cuts today
I feel left out, I think I'll get a cadbury's twirl instead

*twirls*
Lovely twirl, Squiggle.
Weather is awful, lots of heavy rain.
I'm disappointed that Chummy won't be in the Christmas special, and hope she will be in the next series.
I like Harriet Walter and think she could be a good addition to the cast.
Hope you are all having a good day.
The very sad news of a 3 year old boy being killed by a dog near his home reminded me of something from many years ago when I was a child. I must have been about 8 and was walking down a road about quarter of a mile away from where I lived. Suddenly a largish (in my eyes) dog jumped over a wall and made for me viciously barking. I had just been walking and wasn't doing anything which could possibly have provoked it. I wasn't big so did the only thing I could do which was to run as fast as I could. The dog gave chase barking and running trying to catch me. I was able to get to my house. There was a brick wall and gate at the front and I was able to shut the gate before the dog caught me. I then went in unscathed.

I hadn't heard about the 3 year old being killed by the dog.
I know the loving relationship a well trained dog can have with a child, so these stories make me very sad.
Sounds like you had a very lucky escape, El.

Velvet, did you know Harriet Walter's uncle is or rather was Christopher Lee?

Hope all are well. Bit of a rough night with four paws who started being sick about half one and was then all out of sorts till after six. Crying, mumping, shaking, round the back in a daze for half the night Hasn't moved all day - hopefully with exhaustion.
Nice to see the ladies maintaining the Buddies presentational standards. At least Yogi would have saved on the wash today as it has been horrific
Regarding the poor three year old who met a truly horrific end I will always maintain that certain dog owners - and I use that term specifically - never realize that there's a first time, no matter how cute they think they are. There's always a first time and it's happening far too often. Those strong jawed dogs are a real danger no matter what gloss - or "training" - the owners put on them. I couldn't ever own one.
As far as Harriet Walter goes - I've fancied her since the late 80's
Have a good weekend ye all and treat yourselves
Hi Velvet.
I hope poor Dolly feels better soon.
I hear what you're saying about strong jawed dogs.
I remember Cezar Milan explaining that it's the way their jaw latches on and clamps down which causes such terrible damage. I do think the main problem is with the idiots who tend to own these dogs, rather than the breeds themselves, but like you, I'd never own one.
I carefully introduced Keira to PB and BB and love how she is with them, especially as she didn't grow up with young children, but I'd never be complacent and always keep a close eye on them. My son and DiL did the same with their lab, Harvey - and he's a big softy who wouldn't hurt a fly. You ought to see PB with the dogs - she is the alpha - they love her.
Choose your breed wisely, train them well and love them lots then you'll have a loyal friend for life.
Velvet, I think the first "horror" film I saw on television was a film called Behemoth the Sea Monster (1959). Atomic bomb tests in the sea cause a dormant dinosaur to wake up and threaten London. It had an X certificate when released but now gets a PG.
Velvet, Quatermass was certainly better than that Behemoth film. Another really good "horror" film was Night of the Demon (1957), again originally X, now PG. It was a UK/American film made in the UK with mainly UK actors but had Dana Andrews in the lead. It was directed by Jacques Tourneur who was regarded as the best American director of horror films in the early 1940s. If you've never seen it, that one is worth look out for.
Velvet, I'm glad Dolly has perked up and is eating
Goodnight and sweet dreams, Ros, Velvet and Summer.
night yogi summer velvet hope dolly is better velvet
Good morning everyone
As forecast, rather windy plus showers here today.
Velvet, The Night of the Demon film is unrelated to The Night of the Demons (1988) which did have sequels and a remake. Tho 1957 film is based on M R James's "Casting the runes". In the States, an edited shortened version was released as "Curse of the Demon" but the version of "Curse of the Demon" nowadays on DVDs is the full length "Night of the Demon".
I hope everyone has a good day and don't get swept away
Good morning everyone.
Weather is dry and the sun is trying to break through the clouds.
No visitors expected, in fact, I've got the day to myself.
Have a good day everyone.
Good morning everyone, we've got a real mix of weather, mostly horrible weather, very windy, lots of showers, we've got a bit of blue sky at the moment but that won't last.
What are you going to do with your very rare day to yourself Yogi? I hope everyone else has Yogi's sunshine rather than my horrible weather.
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning overcast and autumnal here
Not nice weather at all here. The annual Sportsbeat festival in the playing fields a couple of minutes walk from here is today and tomorrow. Not good weather for that today though though it won't put off those who go to the likes of Glastonbury.
Ford is developing a mass produced car coming in 2021.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-37103159
By the way, it's self-driving and won't have a steering wheel.
I'm afraid the sun didn't last. About an hour after I posted, the rain arrived and has been on most of the day.
I dis some housework and went to the shops, then I coloured my hair.
I've been chilling out since then.
Calamity Jane is on the TV - I love Doris Day.
I really don't like the idea of self driving cars
Yogi, I resaw Calamity Jane for the umpteenth time not that long ago
I can't say I'm that thrilled with the idea of self driving cars either
Good evening I hope you've each had a good day all my work is complete and we are relaxing with our feet (& paws) up now
Glad to hear you are now chilling, Summer.
CBB isn't on until 10.30pm to ight so I am going to give it a miss and read a good book instead.
Goodnight and sweet dreams everyone.
night yogi and summer
Good morning the sun has put his hat on and cleared away all our rain! Although I can hear a noise needs investigating, it could be a dripping in my loft but I'm really not sure. Inspector Sweet is on the case!
meanwhile, I hope you've all slept well and are going to have a lovely day what are your plans?
Squiggle, how are you feeling now?
Yogi, how is your mouth?
And moonie, we all hope you are alright. come back soon
Good morning everyone
Better weather here than yesterday though the forecast is for heavy showers/rain this evening.
Summer, I hope the dripping sound is something like rain collected in gutters and slowly dripping away through moss having got there rather than a leak in the roof
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning everyone, lovely to see the sun and blue skies after a rather nasty day weatherwise yesterday.
Some of the symptoms are still lingering Summer but hopefully steadily improving, good luck with hunting down the cause of that dripping noise and it's nothing serious.
Enjoy your day everyone
Happy Christmas everyone
At least that's what Channel 5's schedule seem to think today
Afternoon all.
I hope you solve the issue of the dripping noise, Summer.
Grey skies atm but the sun keeps popping out at intervals.
I've been clearing out some paperwork and doing some shredding.
I hope you are all doing something less boring.
Yogi, I hope you've got through that paperwork and shredding to be able to go something more exciting
My church is twinned with a parish in Sweden. Sometimes a group of them visit us including today. They tend to sing a couple of hymns or songs today in Swedish. The highlight today was their version of the well known Leonard Cohen song Allelulia covered by many. The chorus of course remains unchanged.
The world famous Banksy in Cheltenham that I've mentioned is missing. Whether it's been destroyed or removed in unknown. All that is known is there's a pile of rubble outside the house.

Nothing very exciting, El.
Sounds like a very pleasant visit from the Swedish parishoners.

I hope it hasn't been destroyed.
