Good morning everyone. Weather isn't so nice today. It's raining atm and I believe the next few days will be the same.

You were kept busy yesterday, El.

This afternoon, I am going to the garden centre with youngest son. I'm going to buy some growbags, potting compost, planters and plants - son will provide the muscle for carrying the heavy stuff.

I have been asked to do a quiz for our Ladies on Thursday group so I thank goodness for the internet, I would be lost without it.  My Order of Service has met with approval, the bride was so eager to see it today and was pleased.  She is an exiled Scot you may be interested Yogi and Skylark, and she is having Amazing Grace by hopefully Spirit of the Glen when she leaves the church with her new husband.

Hope they will be very happy together x

I missed this earlier, Squiggle.

It sounds like she has been through the mill and deserves some happiness.

I hope she and her fiance will have a long and happy life together.

Good morning Skylark, it's not a very nice day for going out shopping.

Maybe you should stay in and have a lazy day instead.

It all counts towards your five a day.

Got lots of nice plants at the garden centre. Picked up my tomato plants - I didn't really want to get them until later in the month, but they were selling like hotcakes.

Pity you weren't at my housegroup meeting last week a guy there was giving away his surplus of home-grown tomato plants.

That was kind of him and it saves them going to waste.

I am growing my cucumbers from seed this year (for the first time) and it looks like I may have some plants going spare. My eldest son is a keen vegetable grower, so I can pass some onto him.

Good morning everyone

As we were busy pinching Joyron's fruit, I thought I better replace them.

This is the horn of plenty. If you remember the Greek legends, the horn of plenty was full of fruit and never came to an end, so we can have as much as we want

"Oh Mr Porter" is on BBC2 this morning starting at 11.35. This is an old British comedy which starred Will Hay, Moore Marriott and Graham Moffatt. These 3 are probably the closest that British film got to Laurel and Hardy in quality (not numbers). Nowadays, it is rarely shown on television. It is worth watching. Apparently, Captain Mainwaring, Corporal Jones and Private Pike from Dad's Army were based on these 3.

Good morning everyone, thanks EL delicious fruit for my brekkie.  Its a lovely morning here again, I thought the weather was supposed to be a bit off by now but there again I think the forecast said rain for tomorrow.  Supposed to be bright and sunny for the weekend again

Thanks for that tip EL I might just switch on the telly, I love British comedies, I love spotting the character actors we had some great ones.  One of my favourites was Esma Cannon, she always played dotty old ladies

squiggle, I think you are right about the weather - it looks as if it could be quite wet tomorrow - I'm glad I'm not moving house then (tomorrow's the intended date for the completion of the sale of my parents' house )

Esma Cannon was great, particularly in the Carry On films. There is some confusion as to when she was born. IMDB and Wiki says 1905 which would mean that she was in her 50s when she made those films, and that seems hard to believe. Other sources suggest 1892 which would seem more likely. She was born in Australia and moved to the UK in the 1930s.

Just come back from seeing another new client. This one is one I'll have to keep an eye on, as he has 3 years of tax returns to be done, and there are big gaps in his income records so I've told him to get this sorted out before I do the work.

And when I got in, there is a message from someone else who needs an accountant and I was recommended by another recent new client. That's 9 new clients since the beginning of February - they are all small clients, but they all count.

Well done EL, I am glad you picked up some new clients because I know one or two clients had, I think, passed away

Hi everyone x  Had a bad day at work, basically too many pen pushers who think they are Dr Kildare

Anyway, nice to be home!

Love to Joyron, she may be home, or perhaps tomorrow x

One of the books I kept back from my parents' house is called Gitanjali by Rabindranath Tagore. He was an Indian writer and was the first non-European to be awarded the Nobel prize for literature back in 1913. His writing is largely unknown outside Bengal. Besides writing, he also was a musician and a painter.

Gitanjali (which means Song Offerings) is a collection of poems which are quite spiritual. I thought you might like one. The first one is called Little Flute:

Thou hast made me endless, such is thy pleasure. This frail vessel thou emptiest again and again, and fillest it ever with fresh life.

This little flute of a reed thou hast carried over hills and dales, and hast breathed through it melodies eternally new.

At the immortal touch of thy hands my little heart loses its limits in joy and gives birth to utterance ineffable.

Thy infinite gifts come to me only on these very small hands of mine. Ages pass, and still thou pourest, and still there is room to fill.
