I'm glad there were no sea monsters.
I love cherries - particularly M&S ones.
In the Eden thread then the BB one but I'll pop back at adverts.

You still in the shower, Summer?
Lol I'm finished now yogi how's bb tonight?
I think I've got a problem- watering 1 flower bed turned into "I'll just trim that bit of the Rose"... I've pruned that and the little Jasmine (which is doing wonderfully) and then "I'll get the florist wire out and just support that little stem"...
It got dark and the fairy lights came on, and I was still out there lol

Good morning everyone
It's getting to be a hot day - 33C forecast in my area.
I hope everyone has a good day and try not to melt
Here's some blueberry strawberry banana ice cream cake to keep you cool:
Good morning everyone, I hope it doesn't get too hot for you EL, I think you are the furthest South East of us all. I don't know about temperatures in other parts, it is already 22° in one of the cooler parts of the house in the morning. I have set a cooler going in my bedroom - a fan that blows over water to cool down - first time I have used one in several years. That looks a delicious ice cream cake
Enjoy your day everyone

Squiggle, it looks as if it will be myself or Moonie who is in the hottest place (and my brother of course). Although the record was broken in 2003, from 3 August 1990 to then, the record for the highest recorded temperature in the UK was at Cheltenham 37.1C. So the forecast for today is 4C lower than that.
Yesterday I arranged with a client to meet them where they live next Monday. The options were then or this afternoon and I didn't want to be driving in the hot conditions. And in direct sunlight like today the road temperature is a lot higher than the air temperature and it's possible that in some places tarmac could become soft.
Good morning everyone.
Weather is warm and sunny.
Love the ice cream cake, El.
Have a good day everyone.
A King Penguin taking a shower at Birdland to keep cool:

They are also getting special ice lollies. They don't say what flavour but I'm not sure I would want to try a fish flavour one
An acquired taste I would think EL - one I certainly do not wish to acquire!
Squiggle, the BBC had a clip on their news with pigs being given special ice lollies made from vegetables and fruit. Those would probably be nicer for us compared to fish ones.
A proper hello this time I got interrupted this morning. Hope you're all keeping cool & hydrated, it's very hot here!
Re Pokemon Go. Someone rang the Gloucester Police on 999 to report that their Pokemon had been stolen. The operator told the caller that 999 should only be used for genuine emergencies and swiftly terminated the call.

Hello Summer It's very hot here and getting hotter. I'm keeping as cool as possible and am drinking more water to keep hydrated. I hope Moonie is OK as it could be just as hot for him.
It's 84° now (in old money) I hope you're OK Moonie
Squiggle, my outdoor thermometer says 29.2 (in new money) so that's 84.6 (in old money). It's on the side of the house which doesn't get direct sunlight.
Afternoon all.
It's very warm up here too. I'm indoors, in the shade.
My local weather website is showing 33.2 at present but a high of 34.0. It's not an official weather site but officially the hottest has been at Pershore with 33.4. Pershore is about 20 miles north north east of me.
Me too Yogi, curtain drawn to keep out the sun - check - fan on - check, still too hot!

I still have the fan on me.
PB and BB day tomorrow.
Goodnight and sweet dreams, Velvet and Ros
Hugs for Summer, in case she night owls.
*night owls* sorry I'm late today, I've been painting some of the garden fence tonight. Bramble being the nosy bear that she is, now has a spot of willow green paint on her nose
It's the first time ever that I've done laundry after work and it's all still dried outside!
It's been 32 degrees here, and even I found it hard work. I hope you've all had a reprieve this evening, keep those fans going
yogi I hope you have a wonderful day with the little ones tomorrow
sweet dreams to all who have gone to bed and an extra hug for moonie
night yogi summer velvet
Good morning everyone
I hope all of you got a full night's sleep last night. If not, then tonight should be not such a sticky night.
It's still very warm here but by the evenng it's forecast to be 5C lower than last night.
Yogi, I hope you have a good day with PB and BB
Summer, I'm sure Bramble looks very cute with her green nose
I hope everyone has a good day
At the car park at the leisure centre in Stroud. It's not known how the car got into that position. The car has since been retrieved by a recovery trick driver. It has some damage to the wheel.
the driver must have reversed up that sloped wall- Oops!
Good morning all I hope you slept well and weren't too hot during the night.
I've got a dentist check up today, and then I'm going to helping a friend to take control of her garden. She's a bit overwhelmed with life lately and doesn't quite know where to start with her backlog of jobs. Hopefully I can help her make a start and motivate her to take small steady steps towards an achievable goal
Summer, you must be right about the driver but I would have thought they would have noticed something was wrong as they were reversing.
I hope your dental checkup goes well and that's good of you to help your friend
Good morning everyone, cooler and fresher here thank goodness. As I settled down to sleep last night the temperature in the bedroom was 77°! Needless to say I woke up about 2 and was awake for a couple of hours. I hope you all managed better than me.
Good for you Summer, I am sure it will make such a difference having a friend like you helping to get things straightened out. Goodness what a pickle that car got in. It reminds me of something I had forgotten until now, when we were house hunting we went to look at one that had a short hilly drive with a turn at the top, walls either side. Well it was OK going in but a nightmare to reverse out of, luckily the lady who lived there guided me out again.
Out to lunch today with a friend and then she's coming back to mine and we are going to watch 'Left Behind' together and then she's keen to watch a DVD I have made of a pastor I have recently discovered who is absolutely brilliant. He preaches in Knoxville Tennessee, lucky people who live in that area but still those of us less fortunate can still listen to his wise words through the magic of the internet.
Enjoy your day everyone
What an amazing cloud picture
Squiggle, the temperature in my bedroom was 83š The temperature here is only starting to drop mid evening so hopefully it will be a bit cooler for me tonight.
There are at least 2 versions of Left Behind, the more recent film version one which stars Nicholas Cage and a smaller scale one made in 2000 which has Brad Johnson (in the Cage role) and Kirk Cameron. The second one has a sequel.
That's an extraordinary cloud picture
Just arrived in Kent after a short run through the tunnel. It was hot and sunny in Brussels/France. But it seems dull around Ashford. Mother said it was raining in North Yorkshire.
GJ, it's still warm and sunny here, I think there's a risk of thunderstorms in northern England this afternoon.

The most famous musical prodigy was Mozart. He had composed 5 symphonies by her age and a lot more other work compared to her but all the same she's quite remarkable.
I made that post last November. Alma Deutscher was on The One Show yesterday evening.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/e...he-one-show-19072016
It starts at 24 minutes in.
BBC posted this video clip on tips on keeping cool in hot weather but didn't do it until 6.30pm yesterday evening.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-36840084
I wonder just how many of us go and open the windows all day long hoping that helps. The clip advises doing that only when the outside temperature is less than inside so typically early morning, everning and overnight.
Afternoon Buddies
All is okay with me. Just having a little time off the forum
Its been 28 here today. It was 31 degrees yesterday so I am ever so slightly melting
I shall be back soon. Have a super day
