Good morning everyone, oh no Yogi I hope PB perks up and feels better quickly poor wee thing.

We had a very good local network here when there were dognappers about Summer.  They had identified the van they were driving and there were regular updates on internet media as to where they had been seen, they didn't stay long

I hope your meeting goes well EL, I can't really remember what Hugh Grant sounds like

Enjoy your day everyone

Squiggle, Hugh Grant is of Scottish and English descent, he was born in London and went to Oxford whereas I was born and bred in Gloucester and didn't go to any university so my accent is very different to his. My client is Polish so it may be that his and my accent sound similar to her but it wouldn't to other people.

good morning all I hope you all slept well. I'm quite shocked at the result this morning, I wasn't expecting it. Like you moonie, I'm going to go find out what's being reported

squiggle, great community work with that dognapper van. I have twice ran away from  a van that has approached me with the appearance of needing directions. They were likely to be perfectly innocent but I wasn't going to take the chance.

Good morning everyone.

I'm not too bothered about the result of the EU referendum as I was pretty much on the fence, however I am gutted that it is going to trigger another Scottish Independence referendum.

Thank you everyone, PB is fully recovered this morning and has eaten her breakfast.

Have a good day everyone.

Hi Yogi

So pleased to hear PB is well again

Commiserations over the impending independence referendum. I'm sure it will happen

Have a  good day everyone, from me too

Moonie

Harry Rabinowitz had died, he was 100 so had a good innings.

The name mightn't mean much to you. He was a conductor firstly of television programmes, then moved into films. Quite some list of material he conducted:

For instance with television series such as The Fugitive and The Adventures of Black Beauty

and films include Chariots of Fire, Shirley Valentine, The Remains of the Day, The English Patient and The Talented Mr Ripley.

Evening yogi that's great news about your car and I'm very pleased that PB is all better too

I've just caught up on the day's news programmes. There's a lot of work to be done and I will pray hard that people come together to make things work

Evening Summer.

I was really pleased about the car. The guy who owns the garage (we know him well) has a gorgeous German Shepherd. He is less than a year old and sooo friendly, I would have happily taken him home with me - the dog, not the mechanic!

Good morning everyone.

Lovely, sunny morning up here. *sends some sun to El*

Enjoy the football, Joe.

Middle son will be visiting today.

Eldest DiL has discovered that children's plastic scissors can cut hair!

PB has followed in her middle uncle's footsteps and cut off a chunk of her own hair.

Luckily, DiL will be able to disguise it with the use of clasps.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning everyone, grey, cloudy and cold here at the mo, I hope it brightens later.

Good news about your car Yogi bad news about plastic scissors being able to cut hair! That's shocking, thank goodness your DiL is able to disguise it with a clip until it grows out again.  As Summer says all children do it.  Unfortunately when my daughter let her cousin play hairdressers it was her fringe that got the chop!

Is there football on today?  My that's unusual

Enjoy your day everyone

Disaster on the PB hair

Squiggle, there's been a couple of days with no football. We've now got to the days when the television schedules for BBC and ITV have 2 different schedules depending on which match they show. And with Wimbledon starting on Monday, that means that for two weeks any scheduled programme on BBC1 and BBC2 can be shown at a different time or channel, or on a different day, or cancelled. It's more likely to be evening programmes affected by Wimbledon and it may be better just to use iPlayer to catch up rather than get frustrated by trying to watch on television. I'm referring to programmes other than sport and news.

I'm back from shopping (no cakes) in Cheltenham. I park in the Regent Arcade car park which is above the Regent Arcade shops. The entrance and exit are on a spiral ramp, a bit like a helter skelter. As I was coming down to exit, abour a third way down, there was a bit of a problem. There were two cars stopped in front of me not moving. I waited for a short time and then I saw that a man had got out and was talking to someone. I then realised what had happened. There was another car which was facing the wrong way. That driver must have driven up the exit side in error. The driver then proceeded to reverse very slowly all the way back down, having to drive up a bit every few feet to get the correct angle and not drive into the side. I guess that took about 5 minutes. Of course, cars had come down behind me and wouldn't have a clue what was happening.

I doubt if the driver will ever forget that as it must have been ultra embarrassing. The entrance side is on the left (going up) and the exit side is again on the left (going down) so as per driving on roads. The road outside clearly shows a large arrow for the car park entrance side. On the exit side at the road it says "No Entry" in large letters, and there are three standard No Entry signs. The number plate was not foreign.

I've more or less given up on what programmes are where EL.  Best decision EVER was buying The Forsyte Saga though.  For someone who's not a sports fan this would have been a bit of a boring time but a 7 DVD set which is every bit as enthralling as when I watched it the first time round has really filled the gap nicely.

She chopped off several inches (in length) at the side of her face, but thankfully there are still a couple of inches left, which will look okay if pinned with a clasp. When my middle son took the scissors to his curly hair, he chopped the curl right down to the root. It took weeks before it looked right.
