Goodnight and sweet dreams. Night owl hugs
*night owls*
sweet dreams to all who have gone to bed already yogi I hope you had a lovely day
moonie, I don't blame you, England IMO are not a team worth what they seem to think they are.
Thanks for the link El, I have the drama channel on my sky I hope you've had a good day today
I've had a lovely evening with my friend thank you, she stayed later than I expected but I just don't know where the time went! We had plenty of left over food so I sent a doggy bag home to her husband
night yogi summer and velvet
Good morning everyone
100% cloud and raining here.
Yogi, I'm glad you had a relaxing day, and Summer, that you had a lovely evening with your friend
I hope everyone has a good day
Good morning everyone.
An overcast start to the day.
Summer, I'm sure your friend's hubby enjoyed his doggy bag - the food sounded delicious.
Out and about today. Have a good day everyone.
Good morning everyone
It's rained most of the weekend but I'm not complaining because the air has cooled down to bearable now
I have just looked at the weather forecast for my area. A high of 16 degrees and a weather warning. Happy days
So shopping sooner rather than later methinks
Have a super Monday everyone

Thanks El
I was just about to set out to shop and whoosh! the heavens open. So that will have to wait for later. Still not complaining though
Have a good day El
Good morning everyone, an interesting start to the day, I had to do 'system restore' which has caused a little bit of havoc on files I had downloaded already. I think it was caused by my av licence expiring, I know from previous experience that it can cause all sorts.
Moonie I am so glad the weather is cooler and fresher and that you feel more comfortable. Summer what a wonderful spread, I am glad you had a lovely time and Yogi that you had a great day too. EL I hope your weekend was a restful and enjoyable one.
Enjoy your day everyone

Hi squiggle
I am glad to say most of my files are stored off my lappy/iPad on an external drive
With my lack of technical knowledge I would be off to the man who looks after all things of that ilk for me. He has done for ten years now
Fankoo
Good luck with the 'system restore'
Good morning I hope you all slept well it's chilly & wet here. Good job I'm fond of my wellies
moonie im very glad you've got better air it's good to have you back with us.
Squiggle led I hope your system is all sorted out now I really must get an external hard drive, can anyone recommend a reasonable one? I use iMac so it must be apple compatible
Squiggle, I hope you can sort out the problems caused by having to do a system restore . Once you've renewed the a/v, you'll need to do a full computer scan in case nasties have crept on to your computer.
Summer, I have a WD Elements external hard drive which you can get through Amazon. Although it's formatted for Windows, the box says that it can be reformatted for MAC OS X. Mine is USB 3 compatible which makes it faster than a USB 2 one.

Good afternoon Sweet
Those wellies of yours, I bet they are floral covered
I have all my files backup to a Seagate half a terabyte external drive. I run Linux OS on my lappy. It seems to be okay. As I am not technologically minded, I wouldn't like to recommend anything. I chose mine "at random" tbh and it worked for me
I refer you to El's answer above
Moonie and Summer, WD (Western Digital) and Seagate are two of the major hard drive manufacturers. The main hard drive in my computer is a Seagate. The smaller SSD one is a Sandisk one. Sandisk drives are solid state and are very fast though may be smaller in capacity than WD and Seagate ones.
System restore is very quick to use Moonie, and you sound much more technically minded than me, using Linux, I wouldn't have a clue. I have Malwarebytes running all the time so I doubt any nasties would have got through EL but I will do a scan to be on the safe side.
Squiggle, I hope the scan doesn't show any nasties on your computer
No all clear EL thanks but downloading the new version of my old AV led to problems so after trying a couple of times I have had to switch to a different one. I rely mostly on my Malwarebytes so it's just really belt and braces. I did a scan on the new AV and that was clear as well.

Hope all are well and in cruise control. Squiggs - glad it all worked out on the lappy/pc. Well done you Have to say you are all light years ahead of me re computer terminology
Cooler and overcast here. Hope you're faring better down south.
You and me both Velvet
It's looking like another downpour is on the way here. Lovely
Evening all.

velvet donkey posted:Yeah I did thanks. Just round the houses as a passenger and Communion on Sun with an interim minister. The manse needs ÂĢ110k of work to make it habitable apparently so it's the big push on the congregation to stump it all up which doesn't sit quite right in here. How did you get on - the weather was a bit heavier?
A friend's church is having similar problems, but it's with the actual church not the manse - ÂĢ140,000 needed to repair their church but a dwindling congregation can't possibly find that kind of cash. A lot of churches are struggling to survive.
The garden has liked the few showers we've had - even though I prefer the sun.
Evening velvet & yogi

I think we may get a bright interval towards the weekend and then it's back to the watering can. Or spray tan
Spray tan it is then
