I hope you've all had a good day?
Moonie, I hope you're feeling better?

Goodnight and sweet dreams, everyone. Hugs for the night owls.

Goodnight yogi have a wonderful PB day tomorrow and we'll all look forward to hearing about it afterwards
For moonie
night yogi and summer-sorry I missed you and get well soon moons
Good morning everyone
Sunny here at present but it's expected to cloud over during the morning and be raining by late afternoon.
Yogi, I hope you have a good day with PB
I hope everyone has a good day
Got my gas and electricity bills emailed to me this morning. With the gas one they said "You've used less gas than expected so your payments have been changed from ÂĢ33.00 to ÂĢ48.02 a month, so you don't underpay"
What happened was that until 3 months ago I had been paying ÂĢ55.00 a month, built up a credit balance, so they reduced the ÂĢ55.00 to ÂĢ33.00 to reduce the credit balance. They've now repaid me the remainig credit balance and increased the payment to ÂĢ48.02 which is lower than the ÂĢ55.00.
Good morning it's overcast here but dry enough.
El, that's so silly. I think they should just let you choose whatever payment you would like to make
Summer, I think I can change the monthly payments if I want to. I had realised that the decrease to ÂĢ33 was probably a mistake by them and knew that it could only be a temporary decrease so today's email didn't come as much of a surprise.
Good morning everyone, another lovely morning here. As Summer says that's so silly EL, but there again energy companies are a law unto themselves. They owe me over ÂĢ150 at the moment as we go into the warmer months and I suppose if enough customers have a similar credit balance then they rake in quite a bit of interest
Have a great PB day Yogi, I hope the weather is good so that you can get out and about and enjoy it.
Enjoy your day everyone

Hi El
Good job you are an accountant. You need to be to work out that gas bill conundrum
Yogi
Have a super day with PB
Looking forward hearing what she comes out with today
She would love it here. We have a fair in the park at the bottom of the road, were the swans are. Over the other side of the park from where they are though
Rain promised for later today but very sunny for now. Have a lovely day everyone
I hope you have a lovely day too Moonie - hope you are feeling better now.

Hi squiggle
Fankoo
I hope the sun shines on you. Feeling a little better
Squiggle, you might be able to get your energy company to repay you some or all of that ÂĢ150 if you want to
Moonie, as you say, it's helpful to be an accountant to understand what was going on I think a lot of people getting such an email would be puzzled and ring the energy company to question it. I'm glad you are feeling a bit better now
Scientists are working on a new method of capturing carbon molecules in order to reduce the impact of carbon dioxide emissions on global warming.
Baking soda !!!!!!!!!
Well that's an interesting technique but I applaud them for trying to find a way to protect our planet
The method of making sodium bicarbonate (which is baking soda) from sodium carbonate, carbon dioxide and water has been around for a long time but the idea of using this to capture carbon molecules is what the article is about,
I assume that the method would be used mainly to reduce carbon dioxide in the sea rather than in the atmosphere because of the water but it would help to reduce ocean acidification.

I agree Sweet and El
Here is a treat for you all....
New cygnets on the big pool in the park at the bottom of the road
9 yes 9 cygnets
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
Aww new babies Moonie! Do you think the parents are last year's babies or the parents last year? EL I think my energy company will repay any amount surplus at the end of next quarter, still means they get interest on my money though. I am catching up on 'The Durrells' slowly and was charmed to see Leslie Caron as the Countess in the episode I watched yesterday. Does anyone remember her? She still looks so beautiful.
Aw lots of cygnets! that's lovely. Thanks for the pic moonie. Has Swan watch officially begun now?
squiggle, I'm glad you're enjoying the Durrells the countess isn't someone I'm familiar with (that I know of) but I think she's beautiful now, so I should imagine she was really something in your younger days
Great cygnets clip Moonie
Squiggle, I too am catching up on The Durrells but haven't seen the episode with Leslie Caron. I do remember her from An American in Paris and Daddy Long Legs. She has high cheekbones which could well account for her retaining her looks.
Squiggle, here's another actress who kept her looks.
This is a clip from Maureen O'Hara's last film (a television film) made when she was 79 or 80,

Hi squiggle
The parents are last years parents
I believe swans don't breed until they are 4 years old
They never left the park over Winter

Thanks for the pics squiggle she's barely changed at all, and looks fab now! I enjoyed her storyline in the Durrells
Evening all.
We had a great day with PB. The weather was sunny so we went to a park which has a big children's play area with lots of slides, swings, climbing frames etc.
Moonie, we saw some swans and cygnets at the park we went to today - but the pair of swans we saw, only had seven cygnets.
Squiggle, I remember Leslie Caron. She was a very good dancer.
El, I liked the actress, Maureen O'Hara.
Summer, we saw a border terrier today and PB said, "That dog looks like Bramble".

Sounds like you all had another nice day. Gorgeous it was here too. Tomorrow looks good as well. I'm no saying the tan is good but if I go down the local mall I'm in danger of getting stopped by immigration.
It's great to get some nice weather, at last.
Aaaaaw I'm touched that she knows who Bramble is
hi yogi it sounds like you've had a lovely day, what great fun
FYI, Squiggle- I've finally found some twinnings hot chocolate and you are right, it's delicious

Hi Summer. She certainly does know who Bramble is.
I was a lovely day. Grandad is in bed - he was her horse at one point. She sat on his shoulders, made him run and she shouted "yee-ha!", while waving her sunhat.

He is shattered.
How was your day?
I think she needs a cowgirl hat
did she go home willingly?
my day was steady and pleasant thank you and blissfully uneventful

lol I'll see if I can find one for her. No doubt she'll want a pink one.
No, she had to be "persuaded" to go home.
That sounds like a good day to me.
Hehe I thought she might need some encouragement how's the baby?
Btw-! One of my friends tells me that itv have dropped home fires?!?! I hope that's not true

He was really good and he's such a little smiler. He is very alert and takes in everything that's going on. PB still loves him to bits.
I just googled it and it is true there's been uproar about it though so hopefully another channel will pick it up
