On the subject of birds, I had a pair of greenfinches in my garden this morning. They are on the decline and it's the first time in ages I've seen any.
I hope Summer is having lots of snuggles with the new baby.

Hi Moonie, yes it's a nice day, especially as the sun is shining now. I hope your day is going well. It's lovely to see the greenfinches back Yogi isn't it? I think they had a disease a year or two back so it's encouraging to see them make a return.

Yesterday's Antiques Roadshow was a repeat from a couple of years ago. There was one section with a WW2 veteran and it's wonderful.

Not surprisingly that clip was mentioned in the newspapers. The veteran is Captain Roy Wooldridge who at the time of the programme was 95.
I had a lovely day with the children. It was sunny so we went to the park, then PB played with her new sandpit in the back garden. I've also been served several meals from PB's "restaurant". BB had a little screaming session but otherwise was as good as gold.
I'm tired tonight so off to bed. Goodnight and sweet dreams everyone.

Good morning everyone, a gorgeous morning. My gardener has just cut the lawns and is trimming the edges, he is going to cut back a rhododendron which has got a bit leggy and the first lavatera we planted - they need cutting back every year. My other 2 lavateras are due today but I don't think they will get here before he goes. I think I will have to ask my grandson to put them in for me.
Sounds like a lovely day Yogi, PB's restaurant is certainly a cut above all the 'dolly's tea parties' I've participated in. Summer I am glad you are having a great time. I hope all goes well when you go to pay in that cheque EL. Moonie I hope your day is going well, maybe a day to get some washing on the line?
