What are you going to be upto tomorrow?

I have no idea yet but no doubt will find something

Nothing exciting, just catching up on housework and ironing.

Do you have to go back to pay your rent tomorrow, or did you go back today?

Oh heck, not a good day for you then?

I went back down on the next bus and then nearly forgot again cause I shopped first where as I usually pay the rent first and then shop

Boring but it has to be done.

At least you remembered in time.

Yes it does unfortunately

Yep, my brain suddenly fell into gear

Good morning everyone, cloudy and cooler here.  I am glad PB is going to have her own little 'patch' a pumpkin patch by the sound of it.  I have a friend in Canada who grows pumpkins, she's had some nice results when she stopped her cats chewing the young plants that is.

Off to M&S for some bits and then onto the garden centre, I hope they have some Lavatera, I think that will fill the spot nicely.

Enjoy your day everyone

Good morning all.

Dry and bright atm, with rain forecast for later.

I fell asleep around 10.30pm last night but woke at 5.30am. I slept well though and don't feel tired. Mr Yogi also woke early - he got up around 6am, and we have been busy since then. I'm having a quick break and a cuppa.

Squiggle, lavavtera sounds like a good choice for your bare patch, and it's very pretty.

Off to walk Keira before the rain appears. Have a good day everyone.

Not much luck at the garden centre, they only had 3 Lavatera of a variety I didn't want.  They said they are getting more in later in the week but that doesn't really help me.  I shall order online instead.  I bought some lemon muffins so help yourselves.   Moonie you won't have room after that pumpkin cake   I looked out for that peach cobbler dessert EL but I think our M&S is too small to stock them.

PB & the pumpkin sounds a brilliant idea for a children's book Moonie

PB and the pumpkin

Once upon a time a little girl called PB was playing in the wood when she saw a cottage, She knocked on the door but there was no answer. The door wasn't locked and she went inside the cottage to have a look. She found a bag containing what looked like large seeds. She took one and went outside the cottage where she had seen a patch of earth. She planted the seed, watered the earth, but nothing seemed to happen. So she went back in the cottage.

PB was feeling hungry and she could smell something nice coming from the kitchen. She went inside and saw a huge plate with three gigantic lemon muffins on. She knew that she shouldn't because her mummy and granny had told her that it was wrong but she couldn't resist taking a bit out of each muffin thinking that no-one would notice, She drank some water from the tap.

It was getting dark and PB was getting sleepy. She went upstairs and saw three beds. She climbed into one of them and fell asleep.

Some hours later she was suddenly woken by a sound coming from downstairs. She looked down and could see three large bears - Loro Bear, Squiggle Bear and Yogi Bear. They went into the kitchen and immediately they said "Someone has been eating our muffins". The bears started coming up the stairs. PB was very frightened. She climbed out of the bedroom window and climbed down the thick vines on the side of the cottage. The bears spotted her through the window and came down the stairs.

PB ran and as she did so she saw that a gigantic stalk had shot up from the ground where she had planted the seed. It seemed to go up and up as far as she could see. So she started climbing up the stalk. Higher and higher she climbed and soon she was in the clouds. The stalk went higher and higher and still she climbed. Eventually she found that the stalk was against the top of a cliff and she was able to climb on to the ground. There were all sorts of strange plants around and she wandered around until she found somewhere comfortable to lie on. She fell asleep.

Some time later she awoke to find a friendly looking strange creature loooking at her, The creature spoke to her "Hello, I'm the man in the moon. You can call me Moonie" PB told Moonie her name and told him what had happened. Moonie told her that she had been very naughty and her parents would be very anxious as they would be worried as to what had happened to her.

"I'll help you get home but you must promise never to take things which don't belong to you without asking first". PB promised Moonie.

Moonie went to part of the ground where nothing was growing. "I used to use this ground to grow cabbage patch dolls". Moonie took a seed out of a pocket and put it in the ground. Suddenly it grew into a huge pumpkin. It was big enough for PB to climb into when they scooped and ate the contents.

PB asked Moonie "How can I get home in this pumpkin?" Moonie told PB that he would ask some friendly swans to help. He whistled and 3 swans appeared. Moonie said to them "Velvet, Summer and Ros, will you take this pumpkin and PB back home for me". They nodded and Moonie harnessed them to the pumpkin. PB climbed inside the pumpkin.

PB waved good bye to Moonie and thanked him. The swans flew up with the pumpkin and up and up they went. It took a long time and PB fell asleep.

She woke up to find that she was in her own bed and it was morning. She got up and went downstairs thinking that her parents would tell her off. But they didn't and it dawned on her that it had all been a dream.

But was it because when she went into their garden, there was a large pumpkin growing where there wasn't before.

Evening all I've got my mum here, and we've been on a spa day today! I tried to get on the forum last night but it was running slow and I nodded off as the cogs spun

i'll be back when I can to catch up hope you're all having a good day

Hi Sweet

Hope you and your mum enjoyed your spa day

My day was good fankoo

See you later

Moonie

Evening all, just a flying visit.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to El for the PB story.  She is coming tomorrow so I will read it to her.

Squiggle, I hope you can get the lavatera online. It's annoying when you know which plant you want and the garden centres don't have any.

Summer, I hope you and your mum had a nice time at the Spa.

Moonie, I hope you left some of that pumpkin cake for me? Virtual cakes are the only ones I can eat atm.

Velvet, I've missed you the last few nights, good to see you in here.

Night owl hug for Ros.

Goodnight and sweet dreams all.

Good morning everyone, we have had loads of rain overnight which has washed everything clean and bright and now we have blue sky with a promise of a little sun this afternoon.  Thank you everyone, I have 2 Lavatera plants on the way from my favourite nursery in Staffordshire.  They provide brilliant healthy plants and I see from my previous orders that my original Lavatera came from there so now I will have 2 others to make a nice display.  Although my local garden centre is always busy I can't say they have a great selection.  The online nursery carries over 3,000 plants and has a thriving garden centre and tea rooms.  I wish I lived nearer, sounds like a wonderful place to visit.

Have a great day with PB - and possibly a little peep of BB as well - Yogi, she is going to love EL's story.

Enjoy your day everyone
