Good morning everyone.

The sun is still shining!

I slept like a log last night.

Squiggle, I don't know why I can't sleep some nights - it's like I can't switch my brain off! (What brain, I hear you ask.).

My eldest son has been doing work in my garden, so I now have a lovely new raised bed and a corner herb garden.

PB has a cold and was a bit grumpy when she arrived yesterday but she went outside with grandad to put new pebbles into the borders and came back in a very happy mood.

BB was happy and smiley as usual - except when he wanted fed.

Going to see my parents today and then plant some herbs and veggies in my new beds.

Have a good day everyone.

Sunny here without a cloud in the sky. Forecast to get cloudier but decent weather

Car alarm sounding somewhere in the neighbourhood and no sign that it's going to stop.

I hope everyone has a good day

Good morning El

Around here it's house alarms. Can be very annoying

Have a good day

Good morning Yogi

Hope you didn't wake up in the fireplace

The old jokes are the best

Sounds like your eldest has been hard at it

Awwww poor PB. Not very often she is grumpy but having a cold does that even to us adults

Glad she was happier after helping grandad

BB sounds a love little fella

We are all unhappy when we want feeding and can't do its ourselves

Enjoy our visit to see your parents and happy planting when you come back

Moonie

Yogi, poor PB, I wonder if it's hay fever rather than a cold. I'm glad you slept like a log and hope no-one set fire to you this morning

Moonie, that car alarm hasn't started again. I get those house alarms as well. The worst was at a house just round the corner where the occupants had gone away and the alarm went on for well over a day until it was stopped.

Pleased your ears are "car alarm less" El

Let's hope it stays that way

Good morning everyone, cooler and cloudier here.  Yogi I am pleased that you slept better last night.  I find with me it's all down to my digestion, if my tummy is having trouble digesting something then I don't sleep at all soundly.  I have switched to a lighter diet which is helpful and which I am enjoying.  BB sounds very much like my great grandson who is a merry little chap.  My grandson was telling me that usually the first thing he hears is little footsteps followed by 'Daddeee' and he thinks 'Oh well that's me up' what a blessing they are I am glad that spreading pebbles with Grandad cheered PB up.  Will she have her own little corner to grow things?

Thank you Moonie I hope you have a lovely day too   I get the feeling that border terriers are natural ratters Summer so I think Bramble was following her instincts.

Enjoy your day everyone

You are welcome and thank you too

I have a feeling Miss Bramble will eat anything dead or alive, she can get her little paws on

Moonie

It makes sense that when you are going to pay the rent at the local council office, you take the rent book and the money

I shall remember that when I go back down on the next bus

Infact, I have already put the rent book and money in my coat

Once bitten

I could pay it by direct debit but I prefer to take it down, while I still can

Gets me out the house

Good morning wow you lot have been busy this morning!

I'm glad you slept well yogi, I hope all is well with your parents and that you enjoy your gardening later

aw moonie, what a pain, I hope you enjoy the bus ride to get it sorted out

Hi Sweet

Yep, the bus ride was pleasent fankoo

Went past where the swans are nesting

Still no sign of little webbed feet yet

But I have seen eggs, at least three, when neither of the swans was on the nest

Hope you and Miss Bramble have a lovely day. Don't work too hard

Moonie, just remember to take your coat

Summer, it's been a busy morning for me workwise. One of my clients has received a form which is so complicated that she's sending it to me to see if I can decipher it

I did take me coat El but nearly had a "take two"

Usually, go to the council house to pay the rent first, then to shop because the local Sainsburys is virtually right next door

However, today for some reason I shopped first, was at the bus stop and realised I hadn't paid the rent

So off to the council office. Rent now paid and back home

Good job I don't work in a fireworks factory

I'm sure you will get your brain around it El

Moonie, this is the client form I've been asked to look at (there's nothing confidential on it):
http://www.prudential-internat...m/pdfs/INVF11804.pdf

It's all because of the States and their FATCA act which affects all countries around the world .
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...t_Tax_Compliance_Act

It's not surprising that my client can't get her brain around it and I'll be struggling

Crickey El, I'm not surprised your client is confuddled. It looks like a nightmare to pick your way through

Moonie

Moonie, I've just been on the phone for half an hour to that client trying to explain what I could. I don't know if she has to do part 1 or part 2. Part 1 is easy enough, part 2 isn't. She'll get in touch with the Pru and hopefully it will be just part 1. The bit about TINs (Tax Identification Number) is easy enough as if you do a tax return you have a unique tax reference number, otherwise just use your national insurance number.

Evening all.

 @ Moonie and El's log/fire jokes.

Moonie, I hope to see some pigs of the cygnets once they've hatched.

Summer, I'm glad Bramble didn't catch the rat! Her terrier instincts are really strong.

El, I'm glad the car alarm stopped ringing and I hope your client gets things sorted out.

Squiggle, I love your post about your little great grandson.

My son has also built a raised bed for PB in their garden. Apparently, she would like to grow pumpkins. She has borrowed one of Granny's gardening books so that she can decide what else to grow.

Hi Yogi

Hope your day has been a good one

You will see some piccies/videos when they have hatched

I can just see PB tying to lift a fully grown pumpkin

What are you watching tonight? I'm recording Marcella tonight and not really watching anything atm.

I have baseball on the telly. No sound. Footie on the radio

Everyone is on about Marcella

You are a man and you're multi-tasking! Who says men can't multi-task?

Marcella has been good but you do need to concentrate when you are watching it - at least, I do. lol

Do you have to go back to pay your rent tomorrow, or did you go back today?

Oh heck, not a good day for you then?

I went back down on the next bus and then nearly forgot again cause I shopped first where as I usually pay the rent first and then shop
