Good morning everyone.    Sun shining here again today.  Makes you feel good.

Yogi, sorry to hear about your dog being unwell.  Hope she recovers quickly.  Just like little children our pets are unable to tell us what's wrong so that can sometimes be very worrying!!

That you one and all for your advice about my pre-admission visit today.  I have taken it all on board and will try and stay calm!!  Will let you know how things went later this afternoon; hopefully.

Good afternoon everyone.    Visit to the hospital went well.  In fact I would say I'm a little more reassured now than I was before.  Everyone was so friendly and positive.  I didn't get any "horror" stories (I suppose they will save that until they have me as an inpatient)!!

Unless my blood tests come back bad (cannot see any reason why they would) or the MRSA swabs come back positive (again cannot see any reason why the would but you never know) then the operation will go ahead on 7th April.

Interestingly I saw several people who appeared to be at different stages of recovery from the same operation and they all looked happy enough.  Just got to go with the flow now.

Did they say how long you can expect to be in hospital for?
5 to 7 days depending on how I get on Yogi.  Hopefully it will be 5 days but the disability has restricted my movement for so long now so I don't know how I will get on after the operation.  At least I'm feeling a little more postive, which is very good for me!!!

God bless you Squiggle and Yogi, and El Loro of course.  I DO NOT know what I would do with your support; and also Skylark, who has been putting her sensible medical perspective on events and helping me through our PM.  I love you all very much and appreciate the way you keep me going.  I really don't know what I will do without you when I'm in hospital??  It does not appear that they have internet connection there, but beleive me I WILL ask!!!

You know we all love you too Joyron.  Does one of your children have mobile internet on their phone?  It would be so nice if you could 'talk' to us while you are in hospital

No.1 son would be the one, if he has such access.  I will ask him.  Signing out for the night.  Hopefully I will sleep well now that some of the worries have been lifted. Will catch up with you all tomorrow.

I know that's true but it would be so much better if I still had contact with the "outside world", if you know what I mean.
Hubby said my mum had an all-in-one telephone, TV and internet package last time she was in hospital (I didn't notice), so perhaps you will have internet access.

Good morning everyone

I hope you had a good night's sleep Joyron

It's another mild and sunny day today, but I think temperatures return to average as from tomorrow, and in a few days time it looks as if this dry weather will end and the weather becomes unsettled well into April. So the gardens and crops will get a good soaking.

Morning everyone yes that's a good point Yogi, when my hubby was in he had TV phone and internet access (not that he would have known what to do with the latter ) so maybe you will be OK Joyron.  Glad your dog is feeling better now. Everyone seems to be food shopping today, hope we get a good weekend weatherwise if all that rain is on its way like EL says.

squiggle, that is a lovely picture
I love to see the lambs at this time of the year.  A happy memory I have is of shortly after we moved to Devon and my grandsons came to stay for the school holidays.  We were driving past this field with new born lambs and I stopped the car and my youngest grandson wound down the window and looked out and there was this lamb gazing at him in wonder and my grandson gazing back, I still can see the mental picture, lovely

Good mid-afternoon

Just been out to lose some weight - I've had my hair cut

Another new small client this afternoon - the wife of someone at church has been getting letters from the tax office saying she owes them ÂĢ3,500. She's retired and gets several pensions, so I can guess what's happened - that she may have got one personal allowance allowed against one of thes pensions, and duplicated on another. I've warned her that the chances are that the Revenue are right, but at least I can put her mind at rest.

Ah - spring - when lambs can be seen gambolling through the meadows.

All this underage betting - it shouldn't be allowed

Good afternoon everyone.    It's another lovely sunny day here today, although it was rather cold and frosty first thing.  Tomorrow won't be quite so good but Sunday is supposed to be another lovely day.  I loved your picture of the lams Squiggle.

Slept okay last night although things did start going round in my mind as soon as I woke up!!  Had a load of paperwork from the hospital this morning and one thing I did notice is that there is wireless internet access in my room, so when I feeling a little more "human" after the operation I will, hopefully, be able to chat to you all from my hospital bed.  That will be a novelty.

No.1 son and the grandchildren will be here all weekend so I don't suppose I will be about again until Monday.  Have a great weekend, whetever you are doing.  Love you all.

I'm sure that could be the case.  I just hope you don't all tell me how badly I behaved afterwards!!!

Signing out for the weekend.  Be back on Monday.
Of course not. We wouldn't dream of embarrassing you.

(Or would we - evil chuckle)
