Cloudy here, dry and less windy than yesterday. No excuses today for my near neighbour not getting back to work on that house opposite me, though as the man who lives there does shift work he wouldn't appreciate the workman knocking nails in the roof immeidately above his bedroon if he's trying to sleep

The man's car was still there when I posted but has gone now and the workman has started work on the roof. He does seem to be taking rather a long time as it's been going on now for a good week.

Good morning everyone, a much nicer morning here and I think it's getting warmer as we get towards the weekend.

I hope now the wind has died down that the roof can be finished quickly and your neighbour can catch up on his sleep.  Yogi I hope all goes well at the nurse's and that you have a lovely minding afternoon.

El, perhaps the roofer is being thorough..? Or maybe it's a complicated job. I hope it stays dry for him to finish the work 

I think that roof must be more complicated than the workman originally thought. I know he and a workmate have been working on other roofs locally for the last year or so but I don't know if he has been doing roofing work before then.

The gas service engineer was supposed to be here between 8am and 5pm. Usually it is closer to the later than the former. I was so surprised when he turned up at 9-30 

The service was completed an hour or so later and all is okay for another year. Yeeey!
