Evening all.

Just a flying visit before Shetland starts at 9pm.

Moonie, I'm glad you're okay and will still be able to pop in now and then.

Love your snow video.  None up here....yet.

You have a lovely weekend too, Velvet.

El, thank you for mentioning NOTHS website. I don't have time to order online but I've used that website before and I like their stuff.

Goodnight and sweet dreams everyone. Hugs for the night owls.

i watched Julia Bradbury's walking show tonight. I had never heard of Golden Cap before but I enjoyed seeing it and Dorset looks delightful

leaving hugs for Ros (see you in the darnie thread) sweet dreams everyone

~Sparkling Summer~

Good morning everyone

It's been raining here but seems to be stopping as I can see bits of blue sky. There may have been snow over the Cotswolds.

Moonie, I liked your video clip

Yogi, thanks I hope you are able to get something for your mum.

Summer, apparently the cliffs at Golden Cap are the highest point on the south coast of the UK (that may well have been mentioned on that programme).

I hope everyone has a good weekend

Good morning everyone, a cold wind blowing but quite a bit of blue sky.  I see that Golden Cap is the No. 1 walk to do before you die according to the Country Walking website.  No Summer I have never been there but I must admit it looks right up your street.  Dorset is a beautiful county abounding in history and beautiful places to visit, maybe put it on your list of places to visit.  The photo below is of Golden Cap.

Enjoy your day everyone

Good morning everyone

Cold but dry. Shopping all done. So I am wondering what to do now

Lovely piccies and lovely comments re me. Fankooooo lovely friends

El, I see Grimsby did you a favour last night

You need to capitalise on that today at Welling. Good luck

Sweet, no problems about my missed post. It can happen when there are a lot of  other posts

Have a great weekend lovely people

You sre right, I hadn't spotted that Forest Green were playing yesterday evening and were beaten. Cheltenham had lost on Tuesday so that if they win today that would restore their 4 point lead. Forest Green's next 2 matches are also against teams in the play off positions so today and the next two matches could be quite a factor in which team gets the automatic promotion. Although Cheltenham and Forest Green are ahead at the top, Grimsby are not that far behind with games in hand. It's likely that it will be one of those teams which gets top spot. Cheltenham's hardest remaining match is at home to Grimsby on April 1st. Overall they do have a slightly easier set of remaining matches than Forest Green but that can count for nothing.

El, I watched the game on BT Sport last night. Forest Green didn't seem to offer that much to me tbh...

Gloucestershire College has bought a run down house for its students to renovate. Once done the house will be sold on and the money ploughed back in to another similar project. They think this is the first time in this country that a college has done this as a student renovation project.

The college provides fiurther education for 16-18 year olds. I went there when I left school for a year to redo some O levels and a Maths A level before I started training as an accountant.

Welling 1 Cheltenham 1. Not a good match and Cheltenham aren't playing as well as they were until recently.

I was just looking at the Cheltenham score after being out all afternoon

You equalised in last minute

True, but considering that Welling is in the relegation zone, Cheltenham would have been expected to do much better. It had been 0-0 until Welling scored in the 91st minute and then Cheltenham got an equaliser in Fergie time.

Squiggle, I have been to Dorset, but as a child. I have very little memory of it, but I know my parents enjoyed it. If I got an opportunity these days, I would very likely go

as for that list of walks to do before you die, I've only done Skiddaw in the Lake District. It's very steep! The walks in Derbyshire & Peak District are most appealing to me. It's on my wish list to have a walking holiday there

yogi I hope you've enjoyed your day and that the family are all well

moonie I hope you're enjoying the weekend

sleep tight everyone

~Sparkling Summer~

Summer, did you and Bramble get to explore that new area again?

For those who like costume drama don't forget that Doctor Thorne starts tonight on ITV. It's a 3 part serial dramatised by Julian Fellowes of Down Abbey fame and is based on the novel by Anthony Trollope of the same name (and is the third of the set of novels known as the Chronicles of Barchestershire)
