Good morning everyone.
Another bright and frosty morning.
I'm glad you enjoyed your birthday, El.
Nothing planned for today. Have a good Sunday everyone.
Moonie, I liked that smiley as well. I know that it's chocolates being eaten rather than chocolate cake but I thought it was a good one.
I hope everyone is having a good day
Squiggle, I haven't seen the recent version of Far from the Madding Crowd though have seen the 1967 version (Julie Christie, Alan Bates & Peter Finch).
For anyone looking for a Hollywood classic comedy to watch, The Philadelphia Story (1940) is on BBC2 this afternoon 2.50-4.40. It's been shown before from time to time. The cast of Katherine Hepburn, Cary Grant and James Stewart is exceptional. The 1956 film High Society is the musical version of the film.
Good evening I hope you've all had a good day- I meant to record that movie today and completely forgot I do have high society on my planner though.
Bramble and I have been exploring a new area, it was very scenic and worth the drive
Evening all.
We've been out to look for wallpaper. Found one I liked, but not enough rolls - that's the second time it's happened.
On a positive note, we went to a carvery for Sunday lunch.
El, I have seen that film several times and the version with Grace Kelly too.
When we were in London last year, I persuaded Mr Yogi to take me to the Old Vic to see the stage version of High Society. It's fair to say I loved it and Mr Y was bored rigid.
Summer, I'm sure the BBC will repeat The Philadephia Story some time (I don't think it's on their iPlayer though some films do become available there). I'm glad you've found a new area to explore with Bramble
Yogi, I admit that I prefer The Philadelphia Story to High Society

I enjoyed both, El - but Mr Yogi says next time we are going to see something like The Lion King so he can sing along.
Evening yogi I'd love to see the lion king stage show! I hope you do go, and I can just imagine mr yogi singing along to timone & pumba hehe
i'll keep an eye out El, I've always wanted to watch it. Shake it's not on the iplayer
I'm currently catching up on the sport relief bake off
Yogi that is so annoying about the wallpaper! Why can't they stock more rolls?!
Hi velvet how do? All good here

Evening Summer.
Youngest son and his fiancee have seen The Lion King and said it was great.
If Mr Yogi started singing, we might get asked to leave.

Evening Velvet. How are things with you?
I see your birthday is causing chaos on the forum.

Not bad Sweet. Not bad
Either that or I'm kidding myself
Nice to read you found new pastures. Bramble must be good off the lead unlike ours She thinks recall is finishing her sentence in Strangeways.
velvet donkey posted:No bad Yogi and evening

Went out for a meal a few days ago and we came out laughing after one course. Yes, it was that bad
You won't be going back then?

Positive thinking goes a long way, so even if you don't think it, make a wish to think it in future and sure enough, it will follow
yes Bramble is fabulous off lead, no trouble at all. Although she did catch a little bunny last week and I really didn't like it
Shame about your meal velvet I love a decent meal out

OH no! That's the terrier in her - very difficult to curb that instinct.

It was just so laughable Yogi. I won't name it but the service, food and ambience was aimed at people who live off fast food.
I can imagine - not good.
Exactly yogi, she's slways chased but doesn't catch anything, the bunny was just in the wrong place at the wrong time and Bramble had some full moon power in her...

It's hard to imagine sweet little Bramble as a canine werewolf.
Lol thank goodness it's not a frequent occurance!
How's Keira lately?

How's Keira lately?
Keira is good, thanks. She is still quite spritely for her age.
You know the sleeper wall my eldest built? Well hubby called her in the other night and she leapt over it like she was a youngster. Her stamina isn't as good though, so her walks tend to be a bit shorter than they used to be.
Go Keira! aw bless her, I bet she'll be pleased when the springtime kicks in properly and she can relax in the garden.
So what's happening with the wallpaper? Can you order a big batch online of one you've seen in the shops?

lol She'll be out there in her favourite spot, sunbathing at the first sign of warm sun.
No, I'm going to keep looking for something in the shops. I haven't had much luck with online shopping recently.
I'll keep my fingers crossed that you find something even better than the ones you've already liked is your hubby patient when it comes to wallpapering?

Thanks Summer.
No, he isn't. Fortunately, the boys are going to do it.
I'm going to get off and watch Vera on ITV+1.
Goodnight and sweet dreams, Summer and Velvet.
Hugs for the night owls.
Edit: Vera ended last week, I meant the programme about Churchill.

Good morning everyone, cold and cloudy sums it up. I hope everyone had a good weekend Happy wallpaper hunting Yogi. I don't know whether it helps but when I was searching for wallpaper for my bedroom the local shops didn't have much of a selection and I ordered from Wallpapers Direct. We also have a local shop - well not that far - which caters to both trade and retail and they will order any wallpaper that you see on a site like Wallpapers Direct for you. There might be a similar one near you, the one near me is Brewers.
My husband's birthday today, he was a leap year baby and would have been 19 today
Enjoy your day everyone
Squiggle, I was only 2 days away from being a leap year baby
I'm off to see the church treasurer with my comments on her accounts.
