I'm watching the OJ Simpson drama on BBC2.

What are you two watching?

I followed the trial on tv

I have Mythbusters on

What is that about?

Whether urban myths can be proven to be true, false or possible

Interesting.

There are some really "strange" things out there

Good morning everyone

Sunny but on the cool side here.

Skylark, that's a shame that your granddaughter's holiday was cut short because of those drunken parents

I remember The Locomotion from when I was young. I don't know where I would have heard it as my parents would never allow pop music in the house. It might have been on Crackerjack.

Dull and overcast as opposed to the sunny start of the weather forecast

Yogi, good luck with the housework. Oh and hold the ladder while Mr Yogi cleans the windows

squiggle, Velvet and Skylark, hope you have a super day

El, have a good day

Btw, I have seen the original Locomotion on one of those very old TOTP type programmes

I haven't decided what I am gonna get up to yet

Good morning everyone, the weather is bright and dry - the forecast is for it to be so all day long but we just had a huge shower   I hope the sun is shining on you wherever you are.

I hope all goes well with the housework Yogi, it's a great feeling when it's all done and dusted (see what I did there ) and you can settle down with a nice cup of tea/coffee/glass of wine and maybe a biccy or two.

Skylark that is just disgusting that selfish people like that could ruin the holiday for everyone else, I hope it didn't cut the holiday too short for your granddaughter and her Nana.

I am pretty sure I remember seeing Little Eva doing The Locomotion on Top of the Pops so I think I win the booby prize for being a golden oldie

Enjoy your day everyone

squiggle

It's not very often I do this but can I recommend you have a listen to a version of an old classic, The Sound of Silence by Disturbed...

Don't be put off by the band's name or the appearance of the singer. it's just a brilliant version of a classic

It's in the "What are you listening too" thread btw

Moonie, yes Eamonn Andrews and Peter Glaze

It's sunny here and doesn't look as if there will be any rain today so I seem to be fortunate. Moonie, I hope it brightens up for you, and squiggle, I hope you don't get any more of those huge showers.

Squiggle, I think I share the golden oldie prize with you as I would have heard the Little Eva version when it was released

Moonie, that's a powerful version of The Sound of Silence and thanks for posting it. I associate it so much with Simon & Garfunkel in their soundtrack to The Graduate. Although I can't say that I like the film, the soundtrack is brilliant and the film, more than any other I can think of, is the clearest film which marks the end of old Hollywood films and the change to new Hollywood films. Mike Nicholls had wanted Doris Day to play the part of Mrs Robinson but she refused.

Doris Day?

Wouldn't have been the same, somehow
