Amazing!
Amazing!
Squiggle, I think the reason why we seem to be getting more storms than other years is because of the El Nino effect. Although that's in the Pacific ocean it affects the climate world wide.
I'm glad everyone liked that clip of the Flying Scotsman. There was other youtube clips but that one seemed to have a greater impact than the others.
Great pictures squiggle The topiary cat drinking from a lake is by Richard Saunders. There's a website of this and other work by him:
http://www.thetopiarycat.co.uk/
At the start of that there's a link to the topiary cat's facebook page and from that near the top is a link to a site where you can get A5 greetings cards of some of pictures including the one squiggle posted.
Thanks EL, Moonie EL is the expert on tracking photos down, I wouldn't have a scooby, I see (usually on FB) I post, that's it

My secret is to drop the image in Google images and look through the results. I ignore results such as twitter and pinterest as those are likely to be copied from the original. With the cat one I saw on the third page of results a description of the picture and the name of the person who created the picture. Doing a search on the description quickly resulted in the page I posted a link to.

Squiggle, I knew that owls could swivel their heads by to to 270 degrees (that's three quarters around), but not that some owls can swivel their heads almost upside down.
But it's true that they can. Here's a link to a youtibe clip:

Good morning everyone
Somewhat wet and windy here. Expected to become even windier as Isobel passes over. Although my area has a yellow warning for the wind, futher south it's amber.
I hope everyone has a good day and take care if you need to go out and are in an area affected by the bad weather
Good morning everyone.
Still raining, although not as heavy as yesterday, and the wind has lessened too.
Out and about with Mr Yogi, but will pop back later.
Stay dry and warm everyone, and have a good day.
Morning everyone
The weather is not to good here. Cold wet and very windy. I have to go shopping too
El, thought this storm was "Imogen"
Yogi, I hope you and Mr Yogi enjoy yourselves. If you go near any cakes shops, mine's a sticky cream bum please
Sweet, squiggle and Skylark, have a super day and when out and about take care
Back later. Take care everyone
Good morning everyone, my goodness I have never known such terrible winds. All night long it has been rattling my roof tiles. I just walked around the house to check for any damage and it nearly blew me off my feet. The amber warning is in place until 6 o'clock this afternoon. I certainly hope it's calmer where you all are.
I see on the local news headlines that the road I would normally take to the supermarket is flooded and the tiny little stream there is a raging torrent. I don't know whether the guy with my groceries will get through or not, here's hoping.
I hope your out and about day is good Yogi and the weather is not too bad,.
Enjoy your day everyone
Moonie, you're right, it's Imogen, not Isobel , I knew someone called Isobel.

Freudian slip El?
Squiggle, I hope you have enough food in the house if your grocery guy has to postpone delivering to you until tomorrow
I do thank you EL, the village shop is in easy reach too and my grandsons would always get anything I needed
Especially for Summer, the caption was pretty little girl
Good morning all and wishing us all a happy new week the weather was wild through the night but is pleasant here at present.
I hope you all go about your outings without getting rained on windswept

Awwwwwww, what a little darling
A mini Bramble
The groceries were delivered safely. The delivery driver said she had been delivering in Lynton and Lynmouth and where I live is about the worst she has seen.

Morning Sweet
Glad your weather has calmed down. Just back from a trip down town. Looking like a soggy dishcloth
Monsoonal weather conditions
Hope you and Bramble have a good Monday
Squiggle, I'm pleased your groceries have arrived The sea in your area is being decribed as phemomenal That's the highest world meteorolgical organisation's category of waves - over 14 meters (46 feet) high. Not a day for walking near the sea.
Moony, I hope you no longer look like a soggy dishcloth
