Band of cold rain forecast here over the next couple of hours, otherwise dry with lighter winds.
The Virgin Media email service was restored by 10 last evening. It was out of action for about 9 hours. Someone on the Virgin Media forum posted that the reason it took so long was that VM was waiting for the engineer in Trinidad to return
And VM says that the phone connection with Trinidad is almost fixed

Squiggle, you are probably right, that engineer had gone fishing
I hope the wind dies down in your area, here it's just a gentle breeze so not noticeable.

I saw those on the news last night El. They are lovely
I've starting organising my accountancy and tax courses for this year. I used to arrange them through my colleague who died some years ago. More recently I had been doing it through the firm of accountants who bought his practice.
This year I decided to purchase the courses direct with the training company. It's a bit more expensive but not massively. I buy course credits in advance, then book the courses when I want to. The credits last for 2 years. I expect to use 7 credits in a year so was looking to buy 14 credits. There are tiered bands of cost, the greater the number the cheaper they became.
There's a band for 7 to 15 credits and another cheaper one for 16 to 23 credits.
So did I buy 14 credits or 16 credits? I bought 16 as that works out at ÂĢ60 less than buying 14. So I save ÂĢ60 plus two extra courses
Good morning Buddies
Very wet and windy overnight. Just windy with the sun appearing occasionally now. Shopping and banking all done and in the dry too
Yogi, have a great time with your visitors
Have a great day peeps and stay safe if you are going out and about

Glad you all well and survived the bad weather x
We had a bit of a day yesterday. Had a power cut from 6.30 am till 1pm, then it went off again, then on then off. By tea time, it was pitch black, street lights off too. Anyway with lots of candles and a chippy tea to get something hot we got through, but the house was so cold. Power seems fine today, workmen out side and in next street, they been digging up the streets. Dont know the problem but hope its sorted! Been up the shops and stocked up with more candles, just incase......
Hope you all having a good day xx
Afternoon all sorry I vanished yesterday, I needed some quiet reflection time. I hope you're all warm & well
today is glorious! So clear, sunny and chilly, I've been out walking for hours. Now I have to go get my tooth fixed and take bramble for a health check. Will be back later

Skylark, what a nightmare day yesterday without electricity for much of the day. I hope you don't experience any power cuts today
Summer, I hope your tooth gets fixed and that Bramble gets the all clear
