Squiggle, I think they are going through most of the alphabet with naming storms but leave out some of the letters such as X. Although the list has been published, at this rate they'll have to come up with another list fairly soon.

Summer, I have seen that film quite some years ago if it's the one with Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton.

Summer I have seen that film, I enjoyed it. I am amazed I saw it because I'm not usually a fan of Diane Keaton as she is mostly in Woody Allen films and I tend to avoid them like the plague.

I sometimes prefer it El, as long as there's no rain and you wrap up warm, it's wonderful. In the summer I have to worry about sunburn and avoiding exposing Bramble to hot weather.

Still very windy and rainy here, nothing much planned, grocery shopping coming and thanks to a FB friend I am going to check my tumble dryer. I think mine's a Hotpoint and there has been a product recall - I am going to try to embed the video from Good Morning that she posted but if it's not successful I might need your help EL, just in case anyone here also has a potential fire hazard tumble dryer

Squiggle got a letter about our Hotpoint tumble dryer too and we checked on the website and it is one of the affected ones. We have contacted them and an engineer will come out within 8 weeks to make some modifications. Until then we can continue to use the dryer but must clean the fluff collector after every use.
Yogi I have had no letter and wouldn't have known anything about it if I hadn't seen the video on my friend's timeline. What amazes me is this recall affects machines going back to 2004!!!
Squiggle, I was aware of the Hotpoint tumble dryer recall. I have a Zanussi washer/dryer.
This link to the Hotpoint site lets you check to see which models are affected. If you can see a green dot sticker in the door area or on the back plate, Hotpoint says that no action is required.

After much pulling and pushing I then found the model number and serial number on the front 
and it turns out mine is not one of the affected models.

Hope you all had a nice weekend. We had a bit of a chill out one watching various kids stuff on Netflix. Granddaughter has had a heavy cold and needed to just rest. She has had antibiotics as her cough wasnt clearing. She is on the mend now, always cheerful.
Son away on holiday, spent the morning keeping in touch how the flight was going , its landed safely. I am a terrible worrier!
Weather here, very windy, but worse up north. Rain has stopped for a bit......

I hope Henry doesn't cause you any problems. The BBC's forecaster on the lunchtime news said that his 6 year old daughter had said to him "If you pay attention to the warnings then Henry might not be so horrid"

Mine is only a few months old but the problem seems to go way back.

she's due a quarterly health check with her wormer etc, so it'll be good to see what the vet's opinion of her is.
