Good morning everyone
Cloudy, but dry at present and mild.
My brother is down for the weekend, and I'm just going out to do some shopping. I'll be back later. Have a good day
Good morning everyone.
We have approximately 2-3 inches of snow, and it's still snowing. I don't think I'll be going far today.
Have a good weekend with your brother, El.

Good morning everyone I can't believe you've had so much snow Yogi what's the forecast? Hope you have a good weekend with your brother EL. I'm waiting for the boiler engineer and its pretty cold here. Quick hi to Joyron, Skylark and Ros if they pop in later.
Morning Squiggle.
The forecast seems to vary, depending on which channel I am watching.
I like the BBC one best, they said my area will get rain later tonight.

Hi Yogi, I've just checked your weather on the BBC site and it says rain later and no more snow certainly for days and days The boiler engineer says its the circuit board and I will have to wait until at least Tuesday
There seems to be a bit of a thaw starting, so I'm very hopeful, Squiggle.
I think this is the first time ever, I have been hoping for rain.
Do they have to send away for a part for your boiler? You would have thought they would have things like that in stock.

That's a nuisance, squiggle, having to wait until Tuesday for the boiler to be repaired . I can understand why a boiler engineer would not have a circuit board in stock unless he was employed by the boiler suppliers. These circuit boards cost over ÂĢ100, and different boilers would have different boards, so it would be to expensive for an engineer to have a stock of each type, particularly as it could be years before he needed a particular one.
Yogi, it's a bit warmer in Scotland tomorrow, and any snow will have gone by Monday.

That's good news, El. We've already had a shower of rain, so it looks like the forecasters have got it right.
I'm glad its warming up a bit Yogi, thanks to you and EL for your concern I am warm and snug with the halogen heaters and managing with the hot water. Thank goodness for a power shower
Good afternoon/evening to all my lovely friends. I am having a very busy weekend but just wanted to pop in and say hello and goodbye. Have a great weekend whatever you are doing, and whatever the weather is doing to you!!! Will try and pop in tomorrow, if not will catch up with you all on Monday.
Good evening everyone
Yogi, let's hope that you've seen the last of the white stuff. Here it's fairly mild. It's been fairly cloudy, but at times some blue sky. At present, there's some light rain, but nothing much.

Good morning everyone, hope you are all well.
Good morning everyone
Late yesterday afternoon I got a phone call from Microsoft saying that my computer was running slow. I knew immediately this was that scam where they try to get access to your computer and your credit card so I told them I knew they were confidence tricksters and the phone went dead.
The phone number which appeared on my phone was 02064 456 568 but this is not a genuine phone number.

Good morning everyone, a lovely bright morning but quite cold. We had a lovely holiday in North Wales and saw the salmon leaping up the waterfall in Bettws y Coed, unforgettable

That's the beauty of email and forums isn't it EL, that we are kept informed and up to speed so these crooks can be stopped in their tracks Late yesterday afternoon I got a phone call from Microsoft saying that my computer was running slow. Does anyone have any idea why my pics in the birthday threads keep disappearing?

The only thing I can think of Yogi is that if the pic in question was being held on a Photobucket account (or similar) if they are deleted or moved from there then the pic will disappear from the thread.Originally Posted by squiggle:

Yogi, I don't know how you post these pictures, but if I do an image search on Google (I think you may use Yahoo), I don't post direct from the results pages. I click on the image I want, so it takes me to the original website rather than the Google/Yahoo site. And I copy the image from that. It is more likely that I will need to resize the picture.

^^^^^ That's what I do too, El. Most of the time, it seems fine but occasionally the pics disappear after a few hours. Very strange.
Good afternoon everyone
Yogi, I've done some more digging around on your pictures problem. And I'm fairly certain that it is as I posted earlier, that you are posting an image direct from the Yahoo result pages. If I use the picture you tried to post on Sandra's thread as an example, the background code shows this:

http://images.paraorkut.com/img/pics/glitters/h/happy_birthday-1727.gifThe main difference is that it has dropped the yahoo bit. I think that what is happening is that this forum is faced with a nested link (the paraork link is nested inside the yahoo link) and sometimes it can cope and sometimes it can't.
And the picture comes out like:
I've been out with hubby, buying him a suit. We were on the motorway, on route to Glasgow, and there were some beautiful deer grazing by the roadside.

Yogi, I edited my post as I saw that the yahoo code line went on way over the edge of the page, and I think you need to delete that line in your reply - it's obvious which one I mean - in case it causes this page to become odd.
Sorry about that

No problem, El.

It's much better weather up here today. A little bit of snow still lying around, but much milder and clear skies.

Hi Ros enjoy the DOI thread you and Yogi
Evening Squiggle.
My youngest son had just tidied his bedroom and announced "your bin is pretty full now" - it isn't due to be emptied for another 12 days. Guess who will need to make another trip to the tip?!

You gotta love 'em Yogi My daughter's idea of tidying her room was to take all her clothes (that were strewn all over the floor and the bed etc and put them all in the dirty bin for muggins to wash whether they were dirty or had just been tried on I was getting this one so and so of a linen blouse through the wash so many times, it was a complete pain to iron.My youngest son had just tidied his bedroom and announced "your bin is pretty full now" - it isn't due to be emptied for another 12 days. That's what my son does, Squiggle.
I haven't been upstairs yet but I can guarantee the laundry basket will be overflowing.
