My supermarket only stocks the raspberry and lemon but as those are my favourite flavours I don't mind.  Summer they are very nice.  I save them for the weekend as a treat.

I am in the mood for something nostalgic, I may wait until this absolutely dire CBB is over as I only have so much watching time but I think I will definitely give Lark Rise and Pride & Prejudice another twirl.  It's too soon for me to watch Cranford again although it does make me laugh, especially the 'burglary'.

EL I watched The Pallisers when it was on recently.  I loved it!  I remember seeing it when it was first on and couldn't make head or tail of it but this time, being much older I think, I thought it was so interesting.  Susan Hampshire and Philip Latham in particular were marvellous.

Hi Skylark I hope the family are all well.  Hi Moonie I hope you are feeling beter now.  I agree Yogi I have watched Cranford twice and enjoyed it thoroughly both times.  Touching, poignant and really funny in turns.

I've now completed all the clients' tax returns (with the one exception) and am now waiting for them to approve them so that I can file the returns with HMRC.

One of the ones I've done I did weeks ago, wrote to him to say it was ready. Haven't heard back from him, so sent a reminder letter but no response. No tax to pay. Because of past payment problems I have to insist on being paid before filing the return. I think it likely that he will miss the deadline and have to pay the ÂĢ100 penalty which is entirely down to him. In the past, I've left phone messages for him and sent him emails, but he never responds to them.

The one return I haven't done is of course the client who still has of today over 400 unexplained bank transactions. And, no, I haven't heard anyrthing from him.

There's something brewing with one of my sisters moonie, she's got a new fella and is suddenly ignoring all of her family's messages! She even ignored my birthday, it's all a bit peculiar

are you all caught up on the sport?

Hmmm, sounds a little strange Sweet
Is she okay? Have you heard from her at all since the new guy turned up?

Yes, all was well a week ago and we haven't fallen out. I hope it's a case of her being caught up with the new man, and not a case of he's some sort of weirdo who's brainwashing & isolating her.

Brilliant! Glad to hear it what's next?

hells bells Sweet, what a terrible thought

Dunno sport-wise tbh

I hope I'm being way too cautious moonie, but you just never know do you.. I hope she's simply in a mood about something.

Ah, well I'm sure it'll be enjoyable whatever is up next I like hearing the tennis news on the radio when I wake up each morning

Caution is better than not caring Sweet
Does she live near enough to visit?

I manage to watch some live tennis, if I am up early enough

Good morning everyone, really really windy again and monsoon rains due any minute.  I have to go to M&S for a catch-up on food - I last went early December and not surprisingly I have now run out.  I am hoping to be back before the worst of the rain gets going which is why I got up at sparrow's cough.  It was too dark to see where I was going coming down the stairs, I had to put the light on.

I hope your sister is OK and that she is just caught up with a new boyfriend Summer. Do let us know that all is well.

Enjoy your day everyone

Good morning everyone

Dry here at present, rain forecast to start later this morning, tomorrow looks to be wetter than today in my area. Windy. The builders of the extension at a near-neighbour's house have put a tarpaulin sheet over the site which is making a bit of a racket in the wind. It seems to be securely fastened so I'm hoping it doesn't blow away.

Squiggle, I hope you get want you want at M&S and back home before the rain starts

Summer, I hope your sister's boyfriend isn't a control freak

Goodmorning everyone.

Weather is very wet and windy. I was going to go out, but I don't think I'll bother now.

Summer, I hope your sister is okay, and has just been caught up in her new romance.

Squiggle, I hope you get everything you need at M&S. I'd never heard the phrase "at a sparrow's cough" before - I love it.

El, I hope your neighbour's tarpaulin doesn't blow off - it probably would if it was up here atm.

Moonie, enjoy the tennis.

An extract from a story which has been discovered 100 years after it was written.:

Once upon a time there was a serious, well-behaved young black cat.

It belonged to a kind old lady who assured me that no other cat could compare with Kitty.

She lived in constant fear that Kitty might be stolen - "I hear there is a shocking fashion for black cat-skin muffs; wherever is Kitty gone to? Kitty! Kitty!"

She called it "Kitty", but Kitty called herself "Miss Catherine St Quintin".

Cheesebox called her "Q", and Winkiepeeps called her "Squintums". They were very common cats. The old lady would have been shocked had she known of the acquaintance.

And she would have been painfully surprised had she ever seen Miss Kitty in a gentleman's Norfolk jacket, and little fur-lined boots.

Now most cats love the moonlight and staying out at nights; it was curious how willingly Miss Kitty went to bed.

And although the wash-house where she slept - locked in - was always very clean, upon some mornings Kitty was let out with a black chin. And on other mornings her tail seemed thicker, and she scratched.

It puzzled me. It was a long time before I guessed there were in fact two black cats!

You may be able to guess who wrote it:

Morning everyone

It's blowing a gale here and started to rain. Good job I am just in from banking and shopping

I hope you peeps are having better weather where you are, though I doubt it

Sweet, I hope you are able to contact your sister. It all seems a little strange. There could be a reasonable explanation. I hope there so

Yogi, the tennis is going well but it seems the same people who tend to win the Grand Slams, Djokovic and Williams are coming to the forefront again. Tbh I can't see either of the two Brits (Andy Murray or Johanna Konta) winning.

Squiggle, enjoy your trip to M&S and come back with a tasty morsel or two

Hope you manage to miss most of the rain. Stay safe out there

El, no tarpaulin chasing *wags finger*

Skylark, if you pop in, hope all is well with you

Stay safe in this terrible weather everyone
