That sounds like quite an ordeal Yogi I hope it doesn't bruise too badly and that painkillers are able to take care of the throbbing.

Thank you for posting about The Flying Scotsman EL, there is something about steam trains, I could almost smell that distinctive smell.  We used to love riding on a steam train and take our grandsons to Thomas The Tank days on various restored steam railways here and there including The Bluebell Line.

Thanks Squiggle. Painkillers seem to be working, the throbbing is bearable atm.

Awww poor Yogi

Hope you are feeling better soon

Thanks everyone

Done my banking and shopping though no cakes bought this time.

Having a quick coffee before I go to see the client. It's to return her papers and get her signature so a simple meeting. She's already pad me.

At present there's some patchy blue sky here but further rain is forecast.

No cakes?

Is shocked

Good luck with your client El

Moonie

Good morning everyone.

We still have snow up here, and it looks very pretty.

Thank you everyone, I mangaged to get some sleep last night and the socket is aching rather than throbbing. I haven't need any painkillers so far today. The most painful bit is where the dentist's thumb was pressing into my jaw!

I'm sure the meeting will go smoothly, El. Maybe you could buy cakes on the way home?

Have a good day everyone.

Yogi19

Yogi, I'm glad the socket isn't too bad
The client meeting went smoothly
I didn't get any cakes on the way home, I don't think the person I'm seeing on Wednesday morning would be too pleased if I did He's my new dentist who'll I be seeing for the first time for the 6 monthly check up. My previous one has returned to Poland. She wasn't my client, the other two Polish dentists who are clients are still here.

The new dentist should be good looking at what's said about him on their website:
David gained his Bachelor of D.S In 2005 from Cardiff University. MJDF at the Royal College of Surgeons of England followed in 2009, he has subsequently examined for the college since 2012, the Diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies from Bristol University was awarded in 2010.  David has worked in Gloucestershire since 2005 and has taught and mentored postgraduate dentists since 2010 gaining his certificate in medical education from Bristol University in 2014. He brings an evidence based approach to the practice with an emphasis on patient comfort, prevention and long term care.

He sounds good, El - particularly like the bit about "patient comfort".

Yogi, sorry to hear of the dental drama! I also had a few teeth removed years ago as my mouth was too small for all the teeth.

And snow:

I had the same problem when I was younger, Fluffs, and had to have teeth removed. Then my wisdom teeth also had to be removed as there was no room for them either.

Love the snowy pics, we've got some too and it looks very pretty.

Yogi19

Fluffy, very wintry photos. There may be some sleet in my area next week but the chances of snow are fairly low, Though the Metcheck weather site currently shows 10cm of snow on the 25th with 50 mph winds for me.  That's too much in the future to have any confidence in that forecast but if that was correct, that would be blizzard conditions,
