The only one in my house who enjoys the snow, is the dog. It must be a sign that we're all getting old.

One day last week, my youngest son (aged 22) came home on the same train as the High School kids. He was moaning about how noisy they were and said "I'm sure we didn't make as much racket as them". I told him, if the teenagers were starting to annoy him, he must be getting old.

Catch you later Yogi
After a thoroughly cloudy day, there's now blue sky. I must make the most of it as it's dusk
You were lucky to see some blue sky, EL. After the snow earlier today, it is now pouring with rain and freezing cold too.

The blue sky didn't last long though. I'm sure that your weather will improve Originally Posted by Skylark24:

I think the Census is a bit intrusive, particularly about having to say who your visitors are. Then there's the nationality question. I suppose I'm English, but both my parents had Irish ancestors, and my mother also had Welsh ancestors, supposedly my father had an Indian ancestor, so I'm mixed. And the chances are that most of us are.

My sons have a Scottish mother and an English father, but I bet they haven't got an Anglo-Scot box on the stupid form.

It is just plain stupid, when we are trying to mix together and trying to understand our different ehthic and different lifestyles in general. I think this doesnt help. Plus why should we tick boxes to who we are?
I feel for Indian friends i have, they are Scottish, yet Indian , they value the church here, but have their own religion, what box do they tick ? GGgrrrr
Exactly Skylark

I hope not too, but going by the Council,s application form, which my daughter filled in recently, i wouldnt be surprised.
The first was hetrosexual, second was gay/lesbian. third was transgender, the fourth was "other", which made us laugh and wondered what on earth ? .......

Why do they need to know - and what could "other" be? Maybe a celibate or a pre-op transgender? The first was hetrosexual, second was gay/lesbian. third was transgender, the fourth was "other", which made us laugh and wondered what on earth ? .......
