i usually lock my screen so it stays vertical. By pure chance I wondered if unlocking it and turning my "add reply" screen horizontal would make a difference.
Sure enough, there popped up my picture icons!
So all I need to do to post a pic is turn off my screen lock and rotate my phone horizontally!

Very cloudy here, may get some rain.
Summer, I'm pleased you've finallly got the images sorted out There's logic in having to have the screen horizontal as that enables the Add Reply box to be wider so has enough space to show the icons but I would never have thought of that not having an iPhone.
Good morning the sun has finally put his hat on here and I cannot wait to take Bramble out for a walk with some colour & a decent view!
El, isn't it just the simplest of things, I had to giggle to myself when I discovered it. The small triangle in the bottom corner allows you the drag the box longer, so that's what made me think it could possibly extend sideways when the screen is rotated. When I use excel, I sometimes shrink my box so I can have a couple of windows open side by side, but I do have to enlarge it again to make certain icons reappear in the tool box.

What a treat, I have just had two long-tailed tits on the decking just outside the patio door where I sit. I have never seen them so close up before, such graceful birds they pounce rather than walk and so quick too.

I have just watched A Christmas Without Snow, an enjoyable film, thank you for pointing it out EL.
