I've got some wrapping to do tomorrow, I think I'm going to try sticking down the edges with Pritt

It's worth a try, Squiggle.

Did I mention my recent difficulty with superglue?

The little plastic knob which covers the ignition switch on my hob had cracked on the inside. We'd only replaced it a few weeks previously, so I thought I would try to superglue the cracked bit together. Unfortunately, the glue wasn't completely hard when I put the knob back on and the glue has set the ignition button so that it won't press down.

That's exactly the sort of thing that happens to me! I think I've sorted something only to make it worse, will you be able to fix it?

I don't think it can be fixed, Squiggle amd I'm wary of fiddling around with it.

Evening all.

PB day today. Remember the story of Peter the Polar bear which was supposed to stay at our house, but ended up going home with her? Well, PB decided she didn't want to go to see Santa. Instead, she wanted to go to "Ikeena" (Ikea) to get another polar bear to stay in Granny and Grandad's house. So now we have Peter's twin, also called Peter, at our house.

@ PB

She is a gem and she knows how to get exactly what she wants

Love "Ikeena" too

She is such a character, Moonie

She thought she was staying on a sleepover and was none too pleased when she found out she wasn't.

We had a bit of an incident when her battery powered car ran over Keira's (long haired) tail, which then got tangled up with one of the wheels. I had to cut Keira's hair to get it free and PB held her head and spoke soothingly to her while I did it. She's a complete sweetheart.

I'm watching the second part of Back In Time For Christmas. We're on to the 80's now.

I have a Lewis on

I bet you wasn't expecting that

 Good choice.

I have seen it before but can never remember *whodunit*

That's good, it won't spoil the ending for you.

It was not who I expected

Then it never is

*night owls* and sweet dreams to all who have gone to bed

lovely PB stories from today, she knows what she wants doesn't she and what a little gem she is. I hope Keira is pleased with her new fur do hehe

i thought I'd "test" my new Christmas tree this evening, just to make sure it was ok before I put it away for next year and throw away the receipt. I'm pleased with it, and I had hoped it would be taller than my white one.. However, it's bigger than I had anticipated

I'm not a Roman Catholic but this news is still of interest to me. The Pope has just announced that he has "recogised" (= agreed) that there has been a second miracle attrributed to Mother Teresa. The way the Roman Catholic church works is that someone can be beatified after their death when one miracle is recognised by the Pope and that if a second miracle is recognised then they can be made into a saint.

I think many people would think she was a saint in any case.

The Anglican church tends to regard some people in more modern times as "heroes" and get a mention in the C of E calendar. People such as John Bunyan, Edith Cavell, Florence Nightingale, Christina Rossetti, William Wilberforce. But not as formal as the Roman Catholic church.

Good morning everyone, just grey wall to wall here but dry so that's a bonus.  I am sure Keira found it very comforting when PB talked to her to calm her down.

Ros I do hope you can get in to see your dentist quickly, toothache is just what you don't need over Christmas

Enjoy your day everyone

Hi squiggle
I hope you enjoy your day too
