Yogi - I worked out the boss spent all her teenage years at war. Changed days indeed but if I had a time machine and could see my grandparents in their prime with their kids I'd be on it
My parents were born in 1939, but can still remember rationing which continued until 1954. I love reading and watching things re the Homefront in WW2 - a different breed then, and great community spirit. They don't make them like that generation any more.

I saw that advertised, Summer. I'm guessing there are obscene amounts of money involved?
One family's decorations budget is 1/4 million and they may not even be at that house for Xmas at all

Good morning everyone, very wet here again and windy. I hope it's better where you all are especially if out and about looking for the perfect Christmas gift, I hope you find those perfect presents.
I recorded that show and will no doubt find it interesting but it's hard to understand why people can be so self-indulgent where there are people going hungry and are homeless.

Afternoon Buddies
Went out to shop and the bank. Managed to shop. Had change on me. No wallet, so no bank 
I have now been to the bank, made sure I had my wallet this time
So that's my day sorted. Ohh, I went up to feed the swans and cygnets
They are still going strong and all together though I noticed the mum was "shooing" off the cygnets to get to the food so I made sure they got their fair share
