Good morning everyone

Some sunshine here this morning, forecast to cloud later and back to windy conditions this evening, all Saturday, and Sunday morning. Not as windy though as further north.

Summer, there are 3 ways in posting pictures so it may be that one of these is better for you:

To insert an image either drag a picture from the site where the picture is and drop it in the Add Reply box, or copy and paste it, or use the Insert/Edit Image icon and paste the link to the picture.

On computer screens, there is a green New icon by any thread where there's a post you haven't read. There's also a First Unread Post. Clicking on either goes to the first unread post.

Good morning everyone.

Another wet, miserable day.

Waiting in for deliveries today, so hopefully I'll be around more than yesterday.

Hope your weather is better than mine, have a good day everyone.

Good morning Yogi

Sun shining in through my bedroom window atm

Hope your weather gets better soon

Have a good day and hope to your deliveries get there sooner rather than later

Yogi, I hope your weather improves soon and that your deliveries arrive on schedule. The package I'm expecting from Amazon which should have arrived on Wednesday didn't arrive yesterday. I can see on the tracking information that it's at the Bristol depot but delivery has been delayed due to "external factors". It looks as if it may be a long time before I get it.

My advice to people using Amazon is don't buy things from Amazon direct but use one of their market sellers. I think that way you avoid the delivery being by Amazon Logistics.

Good morning everyone, the weather is in quick change this morning, one minute blue sky next raining then grey clouds - blink and you miss it.  I hope the weather is kinder to everyone who has to rush around and get things done today.

I hope your parcels come quickly Yogi and EL, I think with Amazon it can be a bit of a lottery and sometimes I have had a parcel arrive after a bit of a delay and find it has come from China or the USA when I had thought it was coming from this country.  Strange world we live in nowadays.

I had one of those jam packed days yesterday too so I certainly hope it will be a bit quieter for all of us.

Enjoy your day everyone

Thanks squiggle I hope you have a less hectic day today

Had another email from Amazon since I posted claiming that they will deliver the package today. We'll see but I won't be holding my breath whilst I wait. There's nothing urgent in the package. I've seen elsewhere that others have been waiting for Amazon things to come from the Bristol depot and it's caused them more problems as they were for someone's birthday.

Glad your parcel has arrived, El.

Squiggle and Moonie, I hope you get some relaxation time today.

One of my deliveries has arrived but the other one said it would probably be afternoon before it came.

Done lots of housework this morning and now I'm having a cuppa.

Hi Yogi

I decided to go up the park and video the swans and cygnets. Still all together. Bit of a feeding frenzy as one of the locals where feeding them and the other encumbents, when they could get near enough

Pleased at least one parcel has arrived

As for the housework, rather you than me

Hi Moonie,

It's been great for you, and for us, to chart the progress of the cygnets. Glad they are all still together and doing well.

Got a bit of ironing to do and a Chinese curry to make for tea, then I'm doing no more today.

Forth bridge closed for the rest of the year. I hope this doesn't cause major problems for any of you. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-35001277

It won't affect us but I imagine it will be a big inconvenience for a lot of people.

They are building a new bridge close by aren't they Yogi?

They were talking about a replacement but I don't know if anything was decided.

I must pay more attention to the local news.

The cygnets are getting towards being completely white Yogi. Absolutely beautiful . I have to download the videos to my lappy later. Then try and get one on here. Not tried since the changeover. Should be fun

Not keen on ironing or curries of any kind tbh

I'm sure I heard on the radio it will be completed next year Yogi. Though I could be and probably am wrong

afternoon all it's quite nice out here today, but I know the forecast is due to get stormy.

Moonie, I've really enjoyed CygnetWatch this year, do they remain together or seperate as they get older?

Oh well done moonie, you are doing brilliantly on the new site the video was crystal clear.

I am glad your package arrived EL and one of yours Yogi and I hope that your second package won't keep you hanging about.  You've certainly made the most of your time while waiting

I feel sorry for anyone whose Christmas plans are going to be complicated by the closure of the bridge.

El, about the closure of the Scottish bridge. I saw an aerial shot of the now closed bridge and in the background was the piers of the new one. It does look way off completion

The closure will cause big problems for people, Over 20 million vehicles use it a year, that works out around 60,000 a day. The new Queensferry crossing is scheuled to open next December so no chance of getting it ready for now.

The Forth railway bridge is a different bridge though very close, Gives me an excuse to post the best known Forth bridge scene in films - from Hitchcock's The 39 Steps and that is the real Forth bridge, not some CGI special effect.
