Good morning everyone

At present weather here is OK but forecast to turn wet and windy during the afternoon. Very unsettled weather for some days.

Great Christmas wreath, Summer Well done

Yogi, I hope your iPad has stopped freezing you out

My boiler engineer should be here sometime during the afternoon to sort out the pressure problem.

Good morning it's bright but very breezy here today, and somewhat milder than last week.

Yogi, I would guess that apple will soon come up with a bug fix to cure that problem. Let's hope it's very soon.
Did you enjoy your book last night?

El, I hope your boiler maintainence goes smoothly

What is everyone doing today? I definitely am not going shopping anywhere lol
~Sparkling Summer~

Summer, today is milder than last week but I think you'll find it colder tomorrow.

Just been delivery the December church magazines for my little round. Working on the annual return I have to do each year to my accountancy institute. It's online nowadays and much of the data is brought forward from the previous year. I think I've completed it but I've printed it off to check before I submit it - 22 pages of questions and it's not the sort of thing to get wrong.

Good morning everyone, I hope the boiler engineer sorts out the pressure problems quickly EL.  22 pages of questions, no wonder you printed out a hard copy.

Request to Moonie, please send any spare dabs of sunshine my way as it's a little gloomy down here, thank you

Such a beautiful wreath Summer, you are very talented.

I am so glad your tea was enjoyable Yogi and a return trip on the cards.

Enjoy your day everyone

If Cheltenham Town win their next match I think they will be probably safe from relegation as they would have 47 points. There's 46 matches in the season and generally the teams which have fewer points than the number of matches are those who get relegated. That's a very generalised measure and certainly not conclusive. I should point out that after the next match the season will be half way through so my comment about Cheltenham Town being safe is not a serious one. It's likely at this stage that either they or Forest Green will get automatic promotion and the other in the play offs for the second promotion. I can't think of any other year where two Gloucestershire sides have been at the top of the table.

El, I hope they sort your boiler problems

Yogi, *tempts fate* I have had no problems with since the last update tbh

*passes Moonies Mallet* to sort things

Sweet, just food shopping for me

Leaving a good morning  for squiggle

Just had the arborists in to prune my tree at the bottom of the garden. It's looks faabby now

Hqve a good day everyone

No problem there then El

League title contenders next year them?

Moonie

Thank you, squiggle

I should say that although there are 22 pages, the number of questions are about 80 and quite a few of those are of the yes/no type. It does take time but not a ridiculous amount of time.

The most extreme type of return I've heard of relates to insurance companies which have to file a return to the Bank of England Prudential Regulation Authority. That's nothing to do with the Prudential insurance company. It's so horrific that it can result in breakdowns due to the complexity.

Possibly. The match last Saturday was Cheltenham v Forest Green which resulted in a 1-1 draw. Forest Green were the better side. Cheltenham were knocked out in the first round of the FA cup. Although the side they were playing were in League 2, they were only only 6 teams above Cheltenham. So they would have to improve quite a lot if they were promoted to survive. The team is rather different to last year's and are younger and the manager is building for the future.

El, I think when you are in a promotion/relegation battle, the FA Cup is a distraction. Good for the coffers but takes the mind off the task in hand

Summer, most of last year's team left and were replaced. That was inevitable as teams in a lower league get less income than those in a higher one. They are quite young and the intention is that the team will improved as the players develop. It's the same manager who joined them towards the end of the previous season when it was really too late for him to be able to turn things around with the then exisitng team.

My boiler engineer has been and gone and repressurised whatever it was that was lacking in pressure. Apparently the pressure had dropped to 0.5 bar which was causing the problem and he's pumped it up to 1.5 bar. He used soemthing to do it which is the boiler equivalent of a bicycle pump or a car type pump.

You could have done that yourself El...*passes spare cycle pump*

S'ok I know it needs to be done by an expert

^ that's a lot more than just a trim, that's a full on restyle!

What does the red sticker say? I can't zoom in far enough to read it clearly. I'm guessing it's something very stupid

El, the new team sound like they're breathing fresh air into the place, I hope they do well

Guess what! I've put my Christmas tree up! I have only put lights & beads on it tonight, I'll decorate it fully later. It does feel fabulous to have it up though
