Morning moonie
The weather here is the same as yours but it's supposed to be much better this afternoon - like you it doesn't look like it at present.
I see that Marks & Spencer have a new range of puddings for two people and may give them a try when my brother visits me next (hopefully next weekend).

Sounds like a plan El
Good morning everyone, it's pretty wild down here too. Like you moonie they say it will brighten up this afternoon, I won't hold my breath.
Hi velvet, I'm well thank you Nice motor pirate Ha ha EL I think I would be too busy running off in the opposite direction to measure Bigfoot's feet
Enjoy your weekend everyone - I liked the contrast in this picture
Hi Sweet
I did sleep well fankoo
I guess you did too
Morning Squiggle
I love that piccie
The weather keeps brightening up then going dull but the rain and wind never cease
Hope you have a good weekend too
I'm glad you slept well moonie EL that sounds a good idea when your brother visits next - do they have hot puddings as well as cold? I love a hot pudding with custard when the weather is chill.
That new series sounds promising, I will keep an eye out for it.
Summer, I didn't look closely at the puddings but I think there was a pineapple sponge one. There was an apple crumble with Calvados as well.
According to the Met Office there's a 20% chance of rain at this moment in time in my area, They're 80% out
Squiggle, a beautiful and colourful picture
Squiggle, that new range seems to be hot puddings, probably because of the colder weather.
The rain seems to have stopped here now and the rain clouds are moving away and some blue sky is arriving I think it will remain windy though.

Blue sky here too but still windy. Still it's helping to dry me thick towels
I can't see it lasting too long though tbh
Sleepy head
Currently I am watching footie, snooker and the occasional one day cricket game.
How's work going today?
El, is there any reason why the forum could be slow?
It's taking ages to load pages sometimes. Some of us had the dreaded cogs last night too
Moonie, I've not noticed any slowdown on pages loading and there's no mention of problems on the Social Strata help forum or its twitter page.
I've asked Lori about it:
https://www.gagajoyjoy.com/topi...5#459827542072339145
Can you check that thread to see if Lori comes back. There's also earlier comments about how to report it to Social Strata if you or others do get further problems.
Moonie, it doesn't look as if you are registered on the Social Strata site so you would need to register first before you could post anything. Or send an email as per Lori's advice on that thread.

You must be relieved that you can

night summer and everybody
Good morning everyone
A bit of rain here but forecast to be fairly dry though windy.
Summer, I like your Christmassy picture
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
indeed Summer, we must never forget.
Good morning everyone.
Sitting on the patio having a cup of tea. Sun is shining with a nice breeze blowing.
Planning on having a very lazy day.
Have a good day everyone, catch up later.
Good morning everyone, very very windy here now but no rain (I hope) until later on this afternoon.
Forgive me moonie but I had to giggle at the thought of you hyperventilating at the thought of not being registered on the forum
A lovely photo of the poppy EL - this to go with it
In Flanders Fields
by Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
Enjoy your day everyone
Hi Yogi I missed your post at first, sounds like you're having a great time I hope you have a lovely lazy day.
Very poignant
For those who are missing the sun, here's a video recently published by NASA, it's quite spectacular, especially in full screen:
Moonie, Lori has replied - she's not aware of any server issues but asks you to let her know if the problems are still going on.
wow - EL love your poppy and sun video -very powerful squiggle loved your poignant posts and poems about remembrance - I lost an uncle in WW2 only 20 - his ship sank - his name is in Tower hill
night yogi summer and everybody
Good morning everyone
Very cloudy and windy here.
Ros, my maternal grandfather was one of those who got hit by mustard gas in WW1 - he survived. Mustard gas is so called because it's yellowish and smells a bit like mustard plants.
Good morning everyone, it's incredibly windy here - it's ripped a plant cover off a precious plant and deposited it in another part of the garden. I was very lucky it didn't blow the other way never to be seen again
My grandfather's ship was sunk in the First World War and he was killed. I believe his name is on the War Memorial in Milford Haven.
Did you know they use Mustard Gas as one of the ingredients in chemo EL? I know because it was part of the make-up of mine
Enjoy your day everyone
