Good morning everyone, no fog here but quite a pleasant morning.  I wonder what you could achieve with your clients' tax returns if you had a time machine EL

Summer you sound very well organised already for Christmas - I ordered 24 second class stamps to come with my grocery order this week, it will certainly help.  I do like to get the Christmas stamps but it's more important for me to be able to spread the cost.  I will probably start tomorrow and write a few each day when I can.

I hope all goes well with the bathroom fitting Yogi - how exciting!

Enjoy your day everyone

Squiggle, if I had a time machine I could do all my clients' tax returns by the day after the end of the tax year and take the rest of the year off

On a serious note I have a suspicion that one of the errors the client seems to have made could have been made in each year ever since 2007. I won't wreck his holiday by telling that to him now as he wouldn't be able to check this until he's back in the UK but it's something which I will have to look into. If I'm right and we don't disclose this for the previous yeats and HMRC later discover this then he could be looking at a lot worse than 30% penalties.

Good afternoon moonie

Don't thinl I'll get any blue sky here today. Looking at the very local weather website I see that the cloud base is 192 foot - that's very low.

I guess that BÃĐla Fleck and Abigail Washburn are on tour in the UK so are appearing on various television and radio programmes to promote the tour. He was named after the Hungarian composer BÃĐla Bartok. My father's main interest was classicial music so I would have heard Bartok's music over the years. I imagine that Bela Lugosi was better known than Bartok - he was best known for his 1931 film Dracula.

a quote which was repeared years later in Bram Stoker's Dracula (which was on Film4 yesterday) with Gary Oldman:

The quote comes from the book. I think it's likely that the proportion of people who have seen at least one Dracula film is a lot higher than the proportion who have read the book. I did years ago, and I've also read Frankenstein or the Modern Prometheus by Mary Shelley,

I've got PB tomorrow, and she's staying over. I wonder if the bathroom will get the PB seal of approval?

Hi Moonie.

lol Yes that's a bit of a worry. Her dad and uncles let her help when they are doing things, but somehow I think the tiler might not be so happy to let her "help".

It's been dry and bright here today but it's chilly now.

It's looking dry here tomorrow but not much in the way of warmth or sunshine. Back to normal

I haven't seen the forecast for here - sometimes it's better not to know.

There is that about it

Moonie

Good morning everyone, very odd this morning hazy blue sky wall to wall here but a thick bank of grey over Wales.

PB will have no problem at all with the tilers Yogi, she will be supervising their work I have no doubt Enjoy your day together.

So lovely this morning to hear the birds singing so loudly, not a sound you expect to hear at this time of year.

Enjoy your day everyone

Good foggy morning everyone

The field at the bottom of my garden looked like something from a Hammer Horror film set earlier this morning. Was half expecting Christopher Lee to swoop down at any moment

Not to bad now though

Yogi, hope you have a lovely day and sleepover with PB And I'm sure the floor tilers will pleased at any help and tips PB will offer them

Sweet, I am most surprised you Christmas decorations are not already up

Have a great day everyone

Moonie
