Rocking Ros Rose

Good morning everyone, Ros I am glad you had a lovely birthday.  Yogi I am glad you slept well and woke up refreshed.  Summer I wish I could eat more red meat, I love a nice steak but lately it doesn't love me, mushrooms are the latest thing I found I can no longer digest - the list is growing.  EL what exciting things are you going to do with your extra 15 minutes of daylight?

Very wet here and set in for the day.  I am invited to lunch tomorrow with a friend who has crippling arthritis in both hands, she often wears splints.  Now she has somehow damaged both her elbows which will take 3 weeks to heal, and she tells me she has now caught a cold.  She still insists that she wants me to come for lunch   They don't make 'em like that any more.

Enjoy your day everyone

Great swan clip, moonie

Summer, that's a nice Fair Isle bed set

Just has a phone call from that client with the very long term ankle problem. Sounds as if there's been no change since the last time we spoke some months ago what with difficulty in getting around and working on a extremely limited part time basis.

El Loro

Good morning everyone, lovely video clip of the swan moonie.  Summer that Christmas bedding looks lovely and cosy to snuggle up in.  I am glad your yoga class went so well and it sounds like you slept well.  Yogi I hope all goes well with the nurse and the fitting of your new blinds - have you gone for a change of colour or style?  EL I so agree, I saw that on the news yesterday evening and the waste that goes on is shocking.  They were actually ploughing carrots back into the soil, it makes me so sad when with a bit of organisation that food could go to feed the hungry.

Enjoy your day everyone

Summer, I'm pleased that you had a good relaxing yoga class

Squiggle, my thoughts exactly. I hadn't seen it on the news yesterday evening. Not including things like banana skins, the only food I've thrown away in recent times were some vegetables where something had happened and they were decomposing even though nowhere near use by date. The smell was not very nice.

Good for Hugh

I liked his comment "People are terrified of using food that’s past its date. It is as if they think the clock will strike midnight and then all of a sudden the food will turn into poison and they will drop dead if they eat it; like some sort of Cinderella story, which is obviously not true. "

I've said much the same to my brother in the past. 23.59, the food is safe to eat, 00.01, you'll drop down dead if you do

Afternoon pookeyboos

Dull and overcast here

But done me shopping and been to the bank

Yogi, when I saw your post about the nurse and the blinds and thought, I wonder where the nurse is going to attach the blinds to Yogi

Hope your visit to the nurse goes well

Another "jockenese" word Yogi? --> "dreich"

*goes to look of at book of jockenese phrases*

Back later
