Skylark, unless your television reception is back tomorrow, it looks as if something has happened with your aerial or the cable from the aerial to your television. That, or the television tuner has stopped working. If you can get reception via your recorder that suggests it's the television tuner. If you can't get reception vis the recorder then the aerial or cable.

I've had a look to see if there are any reported problems with Freeview transmission in your area but couldn't find any (that's not to say that there aren't any though).

My Ipad crashed last night and I got thrown off the site. I think the issue is with my Ipad as it's been happening since the last IOS update, on several sites.

Yogi, I hope your problems with the ipad can be sorted out.

If your ios is 9.0 or 9.0.1, Apple have released 9.1 in the last couple of days. Whether that will sort out your problems or not I don't know but it might.

 

 

 

I love ALL of these!  What a wonderful start to my day!  Stan Laurel was able to speak a whole range of feelings without uttering a word   When we were in the Lake District we took a trip to Stan Laurel's birthplace - Ulverston - to visit a museum in his memory.  It's a tiny little place packed with memorabilia and showing films daily but what fascinated me most was that the guy who ran it sounded exactly like Stan

Squiggle, Bill Cubin (who died some years ago) was the man who created the museum. He was born in Ulverston so the same place as Stan Laurel - hence the voice. His daughter took over running the museum, and now his grandson.

Me too El, the repeated Safari crashing has been very annoying.

Just come back from a bit of local shopping (bread & milk) and have seen a near neighbour is in a bit of trouble. His car (which is far from new) has been clamped by the DVLA for not being taxed. He keeps the car on the road. He won't be happy and it's going to cost him.

 

 Oh dear! Will they tow it away?

Thanks for sharing that EL but that wasn't the guy.  I think he must have been a local volunteer or employee, he really did sound exactly like Stan Laurel.

Could be Mark Greenhow, his grandson.

but it's of Pluto's second smallest moon Kerberos and is on;y 5 miles across. It's from the recent New Horizon's flyby.

 

The clamped car has gone. I didn't see what happened so either the clamp has gone and the owner is out or it's been towed away.

Flu jab was pain-free.

 

It does seem a bit better although it did crash once last night.

 

Flu jab was fine. It was a specially laid on flu clinic with all the doctors and nurses doing the jabs. It was very busy but everyone was seen quickly.

Yogi, I'm glad your flu jab went well. Squiggle, I hope yours goes just as well on Wednesday

 

Yogi, it's possible that the car has been towed away. If I see the man and the car is still missing then that would seem likely. He does work fairly random hours so it's too soon to say.

The man from Gloucester successfully completed swimming the River Severn yesterday evening.
