What does defrag mean, it sounds painful?

Erm just sort of tidying up unwanted files to get more space etc. El says it better on a post a few back

Yogi, you haven't lived if you have never defragged

(if you have been using the hard drive for months and from time to time delete stuff and install new stuff, the new stuff will try to fit in where the deleted stuff was, so tends to get very fragmented, so takes longer to access. So defragmenting the drive tries to shift fragmented files more together to make them faster to access)

Actually, I think my youngest son does that kind of thing for me - I just leave him to it.

Watching "The Lakes", dont know if its shown down south at this time. Rory McGrath is at Muncaster Castle, the owls are there are so beautiful . Its a really good programme, worth a watch x

I'm watching Eastenders - I don't know why, it's so depressing.
I like owls, except when they do that head twirling thing that looks like something out of The Exorcist.

 It would be handy when i am at work, being able to see behind my back! The other i day i calmed an old lady down, got her into bed and within a few seconds she was out giving Limford Christie a run for his money  They are beautiful creatures tho (not old ladies, the owls ) !

I noticed that you mentioned that you had to refresh loads of times. That suggests to me that you need to clear your browser cache as well.

It's grey, cold but dry - I think it will be like this for some time.

Good luck with the defragging Skylark, I defragged yesterday too, oh and what EL said about the browser cache, I have done that but forget how to do it about 2 days after I have done it

I always have to look at the help pages when I need to clear the browser cache, so you are not alone

Good afternoon everyone.    It's another grey, horrible day here today.  We did have a sunny day last Sunday but it was bitterly cold.

I agree that it helps to be a little crazy when posting on here.  I think all of us in this group are of the same mind set so we don't have to try very hard.
