I haven't watched Strictly yet, I am glad you enjoyed it Yogi maybe I have a treat in store.

Enjoy your day everyone

I think you'll enjoy it, Squiggle.

Good morning everyone.

Weather is cloudy atm.

I had a horrible night with stomach pains and being sick, but it seems to have settled down now.

Middle son is helping Mr Yogi do some exterior painting today, and he and DiL are coming for tea.

Have a good day everyone.

It specialises in films which may have been shown in the past on other channels but rarely now. Older British films and American films are shown (1930s to 60s) though some a bit more recent.

For anyone who likes older films it's worth making a note of this link to their schedule to see if there's something of interest.

We have freeview in the two spare bedrooms, I need to check this out, El.

That film channel is round the clock and is also on Sky 343.

Thanks El. I'm trying a bit of toast atm and hope it stays down.

I've got the film channel on my freeview boxes in the spare rooms.

Shame it isn't on Virgin too.

Aww that's awful Yogi, I hope you manage to keep the toast down and that you have a better night tonight

Thanks for that info about the film channel EL, I checked and I do have it.  I notice they have a Katherine Hepburn film tomorrow afternoon which I have watched before, I might record it and watch it again.  It looks a great channel and I am much happier with some of the older films rather than the violence etc in more modern ones.

Squiggle, I noticed that Katherine Hepburn film as well and have set it up to be recorded. Summertime isn't at first glance a film I would watch but given that it's Katherine Hepburn and directed by David Lean it should be good. It's the onefilm in Lean's career which is between his home grown British classics to his international epic classics.

Another film I've set to record which is in a few days is The Stranger. Stars Edward G Robinson and Orson Welles (who also directed it). I've seen it before. Film noir/Nazi war criminal.

My toast stayed down and I've managed a walk with Keira, thanks Squiggle.

I rarely watch modern films. I think the new Spooks film is the only modern one I've watched in ages, and that was in the cinema.

Good morning everyone, another nice morning here.

I am so pleased that you had a good night's sleep Yogi, I think you are right and a restful day is just what you need.  I have only seen the first bit of Strictly and I might be surprised when I see the next contestants but so far I think Helen will take some beating.  That waltz for a first ever dance was superb, I shall enjoy watching her progress.

A charming little scene this morning, in the field below the house there are young bullocks at the moment.  Two of them were having a head butting contest this morning, so sweet.

Enjoy your day everyone

I agree that Helen's waltz was lovely.

Aww at the little bullocks.

Good morning Skylark

I'm well and hope you are.

Been busy with the huge client job I've just started. My church has been developing a new website and I've been involved with that. The intention is that it will go live during the next few days and be officially launched next Sunday which happens to be Harvest Festival. I've been involved with making suggestions and proof reading rather than the technical side.

Good morning everyone, that does sound intriguing Yogi orange and elderflower marmalade, you will have to tell us what it tastes like.  Not that I'm a marmalade fan, the only one I ever liked was lime marmalade.

Mr Badger has been back again so there was a lot of work putting the flaps of grass back in place and treading them down again, it is amazing the damage he can do.  I notice he has been wreaking havoc next door as well.  I'm going to get my gardener to check to see if the badger has dug another hole under the fence into the field as I suddenly remembered that's how he used to get in until I got my gardener to put down a concrete slab to stop him.  I wonder if he has dug another.

Sounds interesting work EL, it will be very satisfying to see the website up and running.  Seeing a milk float nowadays definitely counts as a rare sighting.

Enjoy your busy day Skylark.  Summer I hope your battery is charged now, we miss you, hope you pop in later

Enjoy your day everyone

squiggle

Squiggle, that's a great owl picture

I hope your gardener can locate where Mr Badger is getting in to your garden.

The new church website will look a more attractive site and be more outreaching than the present one which although OK is mainly providing information. The new site will be updated each week by a Gloucester woman who looks after sites for other churches so I won't be involved in doing the update every 5 weeks (though in practice more often when others forget).
